Re: Broken leg - femur in CT

Sounds like you have graduated to the world of strapless riding.

Re: Aluula ? New Revolutionary Material from Ocean Rodeo

From what I understand is that the kites are significantly lighter, and can be pumped up harder and have a stiffer frame. This supposedly leads to extremely responsive/fast steering behaviour, to the extent that the designers and to redesign the sub 10 kite sizes to slow them down because they were...

Re: Photo Contest

I'm the rider, my brother took the shot! Theme was, 'How do you relax on vacation?'. I'd say a light wind hydrofoil session in the fog, was pretty fun/relaxing! nah, if you want to show real relaxation you have to sit down and open a heineken :-) 71395937_2776749012337558_7727623111650050048_o.jpg ...

Re: Drop Your $&@#ing Kite!

forgetting all the nonsense in this thread, it is also important that the upwind kiter raise his kite. it is not the SOLE responsibility of the downwind kiter to take proper action. some times i lower my kite near the water surface (when downwind) and the upwind kiter keeps his way low too. annoyin...

Re: Surfboard weight

“It comes down to personal preference. It’s more important to take volume and board design into account than the length of the board when looking at Tomo models and we often find people moving to smaller lengths eventually. The combination of board outline, bottom contour, flex, construction and wei...

Re: Foil polesurfing

Any foilers have a pole surfing rig with a foil for extremely light unstable conditions? Is it worth doing both so there’s never a down time? I do both and the pole doesn't come close to the strings. Windsurfing requires a lot more wind to get going and onto the foil. Under 10mph is not really poss...

Re: Do all kites invert equally?

Cabrinha and slingshot are notorious for inverting, Naish, Ocean rodeo do not invert. Old North not sure. Never had a slingshot RPM (pre 2019) invert. The hybrid c shape makes it pretty difficult to happen. I have inverted a slingshot rally. It relaunched inside out just like the crossbow photo.
