Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

FYI, a very good rider in France who is on LesFoilZ.com (Marc Blanc, this guy: http://www.lesfoilz.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=159) used to cut peaks and to make smaller ones out of them. It worked. That could be a possibility. He is now riding on CA FireFlies as they come in 1.5 / 2.5 and 4m (a...

Re: Duotone Introduces The Capa - Freeride Foil Kite

Ok, but that seems different design compared to small sizes. Like always with CA kites there is no decent pictures available so difficult to say more. Try and say what you think afterwards, always better for an informed judgment. This is what I do for kiting as the science of kite design is still f...

Re: Duotone Introduces The Capa - Freeride Foil Kite

IDK how thick or thin airfoil CA Wave kite has but most important explanation for its behavior is its small size. Low aspect small foil kite is the easiest kite type there is. But if that kind of kite was made say 12m -15m size it would totally suck, low AR low cell count simple design is just not ...

Re: Vertical landing on frontlines

I've done this on my Peaks a few times, in ULTRA light winds. Steering isn't hard with the front lines but once you get it about half way down the steering lines get too loose, kite starts losing its shape, flaps and becomes very erratic. Tried this in little higher winds and it's just not worth th...

Vertical landing on frontlines

We didn't know that it was possible. Here withe CA firefly 2.5. Landing is compatible with hydrofoil windranges ... not sure for directional, we still have to test. http://lesfoilz.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4771 Beware, we do not recommend this, we a...

Re: Best hydrofoil wave kite: ConceptAir Firefly vs. Flysurfer Peak 4

Here is top hat's pulley bar setting: From top hat interview that I did some years ago http://www.lesfoilz.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1255 http://www.lesfoilz.com/phpBB3/download/file.php?id=383 One of the secrets to me is to go unhooked and pump, even if it needs a lot of force similar when on...
