You have a lot of discussion & information here: https://lesfoilz.com/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=4 We tested extensively a lot of hybrid kites (and single skins) over the years (Firefly V1,V2 & V3, Hybrid, Peaks several generation, Hysper 1&2, Marabou 1&2, Alma...) + many other kites (I use myself Conce...
If some of you are interested by user tests, we have organised a "La Poste Tour" (brands send us some new kites and we send them among us in France for testing) for the Alma. The thread is now 18 pages with extensive testing--in French but with a good online translator that should be ok. https://les...
I made a test of the Concept Air FF 6m V3 recently (it is in French but DeepL will give you a pretty good translation), it starts around here: http://lesfoilz.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5604&start=40 I am not kitefoiling but using surfboards (I paddle surf as well). I know the Waves very well (I...
This is wrong... But also very individual. I want my Pulsion (and other kites) to backstall with bar pulled. I don't think it is wrong, I set all my CA Waves without backstall when the bar is fully in for surfing waves (with a surfboard). CA waves do not need backstalling for surfing, they have eno...
What do you call stormy conditions? Which wind speed? Cap Town in January? Ocean beach San Francisco in June? Tarifa? South of France mid-season? Greece and its Meltem?
Viron is not an option for me. It is a safe kite for learning, performance is too low for TT.
Riding Down The Line was great, felt soooo much more free, could stay high on the wave if I wanted to, easy, just surf along DTL, or make powered high speed lay down bottom turns, if I wanted to (the last is the only option almost, with tubes) A high level of freedom added :thumb: That is what for ...
I am not totally convinced with single skins on surfboards. Their lack of performance is ok on an hydrofoil but it is a bit too painful on a strapless surfboard, although they are great in the surf. Waves have more wind range, are easier to deal with upwind, more linear, etc ...but less drift than s...
Mayby you simply have too much depower length? The wave depowers through a change in shape so you might give it too much front lines release in strong gusty conditions?
