Re: where to get tube for covering chicken loop rope

cheers guys, the slippy soapy hot solution helps a lot, and boiling water, and pulling through with a leader line really helped, of course very wet line helps squish the dyneema down as its forced through, and redipping to keep the plastic as soft as possible helped.

Re: Lineset Recommendations

that looks like the bunch of super fine core filaments hidden inside the protective jacket has pushed its way past the cut exposed end of the Qline, if the end has not been sealed neatly then that fluffy ball appears after using for a while, i have loads of Qline In my line workshop and many ends lo...

Re: Lineset Recommendations

using Q power line is an interesting and rewarding if at times frustrating experience, I make up line set now and service bars, but Qline gave me kite feedback that was never replicable from using any other line, it was like using carbon steel lines, no spring in the line at all, solid connection to...

I am in the uk, Merseyside, and make up lines sets, and service bars of many brands and years,I can do any bar from any year and have many bars now in my bar repair hospital waiting for donor parts, 2 of them very much like the one you have, with the safety on the long wrist leash line like yours, b...

Re: Core Kite with Low V Bar

I hooked up a low-v bar (north control bar) to my xr6 for a session once and I found to my surprise it changed the feel of flying the kite quite a bit. The steering was far more "direct" and the usual "springiness" on the steering lines I have grown to love on the core kite/bar was was almost compl...

Re: water inside mast

Some mast plugs are just to hard, very hard rubber will not 100% seal out water when temps fall as your mast hits the cold water from being in the sunshine, it can suck water in past the plugs, turning your cold mast upside down so the water goes to the end shown in your pic, and heat the mast with ...
