Re: Repair line sheath

if i were you, after confirming that is RRD white line, aka Qline, then forget trusting a non professional to sew a sheath on Q line, it is so hard to sew that you need a industrial machine and line guide which helps but the needle still wants to avoid the line and will keep missing, or the needle w...

Re: looking for bar to foil with

I have been repairing bars and replacing line sets for foiling guys for years, seen and handled just about every bar ever made since 2000, tried some very nice feeling carbon custom bars in recent years, even built a few up from scratch for a few guys, the cost is not as cheap as some may think if a...

Re: Is this line too worn?

Well, since most of us here either can’t or won’t look through your trash, maybe you could just tell us what we would find there and help us all out? For safety reason? I am very tempted to reveal all, but on a public forum, not a chance. there are a few bar brands out there that are using or have ...

Re: Is this line too worn?

I have just returned from a 2 week very windy El Medano kitesurfing holiday, and witnessed 4 individuals snap a line on different days, and each time it was a truly shocking and scary event, and that was only the ones I witnessed so many more must have gone, two snaps were on school gear which was e...

Re: Minimum strength of depower line?

Good 3mm dyneema is rated to 2500 lbs or over 1100 kg, so it should be more than adequate, especially if it is inside of a piece of tubing that protects it from wear. The issue is it goes through a metal tab or a plate inside the swivel under the cap on the CL and with a lot riding the rope being p...

Re: Fins sticking ouside board's edge

that looks so wrong, I would just drill one hole further inboard, keeping one of the old holes to guide you when drilling, easy job if its a standard build, if not just seal the hole edges,

Re: The SAB kraken has landed

brilliant, mines ordered, the cast aluminium base plate is much better than the milled one, its lighter by a bit, and 2 weeks in used nearly every day and its all good, but properly washed every session, the carbon one is very light, and needs no washing, i wish the carbon one came out when i bought...
