Re: Large Kite that will relaunch

The Nexus 15 and 17 are getting good traction in their LW modes, being 3 strut they're lighter than say the XR series and the Section DNA present in the design makes for drift and foiling, they also come unstuck about as well as can be expected by any tube kite in sub 8 knot weather providing as Mae...

Re: Is there a difference in wetsuit quality?

The worst suits that I have owned - from a durability standpoint - are expensive "smooth skin" suits. Every one of those that I have owned has failed in the first year. Also, you may notice that even non "smooth skin" suits fail on the few smooth skin parts they have, such as a "smooth skin" chest ...

Re: Fukushima - isn't it time we started worrying?

Low level radiation scare is over. Landmark paper: Japanese atomic bomb survivors live longer, have less cancer https://junkscience.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/s41021-018-0114-3.pdf nagasaki.png Allelujah, we're all safe... Thanks Marlboroughman, I'll cease worrying. Er... just a thought, how's ...

Re: Shall we keep the Lost & Found Forum?

I think that role gets increasingly accommodated by local facebook groups very successfully Toby. I know in this part of the world we have the Camber Group and it's the first place many go to appeal and recover lost boards. Having said that I guess the international nature of this site could be used...

Re: How important are news for you?

Never read it either and I think the sort of news one might garner there is already old, bad or spun news, better to dwell in the forum columns there often lies more interesting stuff.

Re: Mae West & Buoyancy, should we or shouldn't we?

Kitesurfing, unfortunately is different, and that battle has yet to be fought. That battle, when it is finally fought, will not have the advantage of the board being a lifesaving device. My take on both: The decision on windsurfing was a just one. For kitesurfing, good swimming skills should be the...

Re: Mae West & Buoyancy, should we or shouldn't we?

I agree that it should be a personal choice. I hate the nanny state trying to regulate everything. That said, I wear a kayaking pfd for downwinders or if the conditions are crazy just for that extra piece of mind. BTW, Matteo V is not a dullard. I know him personally and he is a good guy, so yeah i...

Mae West & Buoyancy, should we or shouldn't we?

As to buoyancy, should be another thread, personally I had strong feelings about not being forced to wear it, so Mae undermines all that but she's a Seppo, so doesn't worry me. Impact vest should be enough even on fresh water if there's a wetsuit involved...... I agree with you in totality on this....

Re: Fukushima - isn't it time we started worrying?

Jesus H Kerist the fake news you yanks swallow, no wonder nobody is complaining.. Here in Europe we're still suffering the increased Cancer rates from Chernobyl, I hate to ruin your day but Fukushima has kicked out 100 times what Chernobyl did and they still haven't even got a lid on it so they can...

Re: Fukushima - isn't it time we started worrying?

'Send money or I love you?' what planet is Mae on? Chance of being paid would be good. So, no hard facts here then, nothing to worry about, it was all fake news and we're not going to fry, that's good I'll tell the old boy he can stop worrying. As to buoyancy, should be another thread, personally I ...
