Re: Shorter board is less playful...!

Rear foot with respect to the CoE of the foil makes a massive difference in foil responsiveness with respect to pitch. Foot with respect to mast position is simply an easy reference and varies a little between foils. Narrow stance with the back foot on or in front of the mast are going to be steady ...

Re: Spitfire-cannards in general

I learned on Zeeko's first version of their alloy foil. It had a few odd little plastic spacers when assembled normally. They allowed for clearance of the main wing to be mounted in reverse and the stab to be mounted with the proper angle also in reverse so the foil could essentially by assembled as...

Re: 32" Mast vs. 36" Mast ; Which is Better?

If your going to be sarcastic with peoples who answer from experience, why ask in the first place ? My first three seasons foiling was on a 91cm mast. Along the learning curve I incrementally changed pretty much everything. Board length, board volume, Worked my way steadily up in wing size. By the t...

Re: Using LEI kites on land

Definitely a smart minimalist start. For a stretch of about 6 years, I used a single 10m kite for 90% of my riding on both water and snow.

Re: Using LEI kites on land

Superkiteday group has a lot of snowkite and landboard videos on youtube, and group is on facebook. Maybe there you might get some contacts. Also is there a dutch forum on FB? If I were to start again kiteing on hard soil I would take kite like Peak4 as a trainer, mountain and landboard usage. It i...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

I had to incorporate old slingshot Mickey Mouse swivel since I only tack/360 one way and my lines were getting twisted. With the 5,4 and 3m you can strip the swivel too. The kite IS the swivel. I reach up and grab a leader and just pinwheel the kite while riding in whatever direction it needs to un...

Re: Aluula ? New Revolutionary Material from Ocean Rodeo

Any privately owned aluula kites out there yet? Can you order sizes other than the Flite in 14.5m and the Roam in 10m ?

No sanding or polishing at all.
That's a pretty major point! Super cool you get both nice clean deck texture and great looking overall finish without loads of finishing work!

Re: Surfr + burner phone = Poor Man's Woo

Thats cool.

Anyone have insight as to how the readings would differ if the phone were just worn on your person vs on the board ?

Re: Pocket board building

I have been testing limits of lower end of my 8m peak 4. I only ride one ride pocket board 42" dwarfcraft. What are your thoughts on building pocket board with implementation of Bracurus pontoon design of Hoover board. I was paying attantion and lateral movement during light wind starts plays a big...
