Re: Replacement race bridle line

Thanks! After looking at it and comparing it to the flysurfer bridle plans I think it's probably DC40. I'll replace with power pro for the short term and see about ordering a spool for future repairs (thanks for the link- I'll also check the local paraglider shop). I've sent an email to elf asking f...

Replacement race bridle line

I've tried searching but couldn't find anything: I busted a piece of my A bridle on an 11m Elf Joker 6 after the wind died and I had to do a deepwater packdown, not sure if I got it caught on something or what. The bridle line is extremely thin (part of the A bridle that actually connects to kite at...

Re: What got you into Hydrofoiling?

Re: Which helmet?

It is much lower profile than the snowboard/kayak style helmets, which I appreciate as I've got a big enough head already. Price point is about...

Re: Chicken Loop Bye Bye?

Has anyone tried modifying the end of a fireball connector to work with a rope harness? seems like it would be a pretty good QR for a surf system if your replaced the fireball dongle with a short piece of amsteel spliced to a small antal ring on a rope spreader bar.

Re: How to turn a hydrofoil - and what is YAW ?

Guys. The foil is the most intuitive, beautifully responsive thing to ride. If you bank it over and commit to the turn it will cut a beautiful arc thru water and spit you out the opposite direction. This is the most awesome thing about it! A foil is complex, but the human mind can learn so quickly ...

Re: How to turn a hydrofoil - and what is YAW ?

I'm still new to foiling, but it seems to me the second you bank the board, your front foot/ back foot weight distribution starts apply not only pitch moment but also yaw about the mast to keep the turn coordinated. If you somehow initiate with yaw only, the effect of the sideslip on the mast would ...
