Re: New member from Florida

Hello, just wanted to give a quick update to my post :-)

6 months into kiteboarding now. Probably had over 25 sessions and finally starter to do small jumps. I might get a new board soon. What would you recommend for transition?
Note: the wind literally disappeared here in Florida this summer :-(

Re: New member from Florida

Hey guys! So I did get my gear last week and I also purchased a progressive board 148x47. I went twice to Delray Beach already with favorable conditions for my 14m2. About 12-16kts and it was great! First couple hours I was going down wind and after about 3-4 hours I was able to stay to the same lev...

Re: New member from Florida

Hey! Hope everyone had a great start of the week. Thank you for the advices Dylan. When I am about to buy a board, I will post here before to get some feedback :-) I am most likely gonna get a regular Twintip because I don't want to spend the extra money for a second board. As I learn, if I see that...

Re: New member from Florida

Hello guys!

Just wanted to let you know that I went with a 14m2 Switch Kite and Bar. I also purchased a DAKINE Pyro Harness.
All I need now is a board, for a beginner. Which board would you guys recommend me?

Thanks and have a good week end.

Re: New member from Florida

Hey! So I went to the Keys this week end and I did my first rides downwind, was a lot of fun!

Now I am trying to buy my gear and still not sure if I actually want an eleveight kite or a switch kite.

Re: New member from Florida

Hey! I understand, I will be posting on this forum before I buy anything so I can get feedback from some members. But to be honest, I have done a lot of research and I am almost ready to buy a new SwitchKite Element 6 from http://switchkites.com/element6.html Did anyone here ever tried one? I am act...

Re: New member from Florida

Ben, Slingshot is a solid reputable brand. For a good all around beginner-intermediate level kite, the Slingshot Rally is your best option in that brand. A lot of shops will want to sell you the RPM, but it's more of a hybrid kite that works better for intermediate-advanced riders who want to ride ...

Re: New member from Florida

Hey Dylan I will try to find out about the rules in Deerfield Beach, I wasn't really thinking about going there anyways because I have never seen any riders but it will be nice because it's very close from where I live. I am something like 170lbs and I was told to get a 14m2 and eventually a 17m2 fo...

Re: New member from Florida

Eli, I will put a post about the classes I took from the school once I finished the next class. Toby, thank you! I didn't go today because the wind dropped overnight, we pushed the class back to Wednesday morning which is my next day off. Can't wait! What kind of gear (used gear) would you recommend...

New member from Florida

Hi everyone, my name is Benjamin and I am from Florida. Back in 2008 I bought a trainer kite and I taught myself on the Britanny's beaches in France which is where I am from. Few weeks later I was also riding a mountainboard being pulled by the kite. In 2011 I went to Dominican Republic and I took a...
