Re: Hydrofoil low end (~7-11knots)

From 8 - 10 knots I am pretty fine with any onestrutter in 10m (Slingshot Ghost, Ozone Alpha, Eleveight OS, etc) at 80kg. Pretty stable and easy to get up on the foil by downlooping.
Then, when there are lots of gusts and lulls of 3 - 5 knots, it is a different story...

Re: Unhooked foiling

Trim in to avoid stall. Mostly for playing around in one spot or carving downswell. Hook back in to make decent ground upwind. How do I have to trim my kite to avoid stalling? I use slingshot bar and never did unhooked tricks or riding. Just unhooked once on the beach to see how kite behaves and ki...

Re: Unhooked foiling

Lokks really nice and uncomplicated. But how do you have to trim your bar to riding the whole time completely powered - the kite willstall not? It should be better in depowerd mode - Long arms...

Re: GoPro Hero 8 about to release?

Like I said, Peter, buy one and you will be amazed. In my opinion it works better than the maxx - there is absolutely no "getting wonky" when cam is straight Overhead. It never hunts or searches the horizon. I am Pretty sure, sonner or later everybody will buy the hero8 instead of maxx. And doing th...

Bigger wing - bigger kite needed?

Hi, I read everywhere, that the bigger the frontwing is, the smaller the kite can be choosen - because of more lift from the wing. But on the other side, I also read that these bigger wings tend to have way more drag than the smaller ones. Doesn't this mean in consequence that you therefore also Nee...

Re: GoPro Hero 8 about to release?

Leveling is only for app (tablet or phone) - output can be edited in every software. If you record in 4k and 100mb/s with 4/3 aspect you get after leveling way more than 1080 (if I remember correct, mine was something like 1456). It depends of the rotation degree and. If you do full kiteloops, it cr...

Re: GoPro Hero 8 about to release?

Now I am confused... kitenight11 says Hero 8 does it with a gyro in the cam, you say it does not, only the Max. I don't have either, so don't know... Heard rumors that you need special software to edit, or just a rumor? 8) Peter For the Hero you need the app to make it Auto Level. The Max does it a...

Re: GoPro Hero 8 about to release?

Any (amateur from one of us) video with the Hero 8 horizon levelling when used as a linecam? Miss that, havent seen any in here. Would also be nice to see how it works when only having the water surface and not the horizon in view, t.ex when kite is looped up high :D Awesome if it works :thumb: 8) ...

Eleveight ws 2020 trim

Hi, I just wanted to know in which settings you fly your kites concerning the bridle trim settings? In the manual they write standart ist the fastest turning and pivot is for offshore conditions. I would have thought, that Pivot is the most fastest turning Option? Did anybody have experience with th...
