Re: 633 sabfoil different setup?

I use the Phantasm 325 stab with the Moses 633, with a Phantasm 710mm fuse. It is much more agile than the 483 and 450 stabs I have tried. And it eliminates the increased front foot pressure at speed. Fuse length affects mainly pitch stability when the stab to mast distance changes. But the Phantasm...

Re: Phantasm 633

I ride a Moses 633 with Phantasm fuse, SS Phantasm 325 stab and 102 mast for light wind days. with more than 12 knots I ride the Phantasm 657. I agree with previous post of max 38km/h for the 633. Maybe 40km/h on a flat day without water turbulence. Average cruising speed as stated above, 26-30 km/h...

Re: Slingshot UFO V3

Hey guys, Fred Hope here. Excited to see the chatter about our latest kitefoil products. their foiling to the next level by gaining more control from less “stuff.” Those that want a depower, or a strut, or a cheaper board, or even a donkey dick to ride with a hook, can get that from our other produ...

Re: Toe side Tack basics

Besides all the good tips given here, this helped me when learning toeside tacks : - practice on the beach the kite movement and body rotation - twist your back wrist 180° early, before starting the carve. - push the central lines with your belly to initiate the upwind turn - lean your upper body an...

Re: Help: foil SS Phantasm big question (fuselage size)

Hi, I have tried the 633 (Moses) with my 653 fuselage and doesn't work well. Wing stays too close to the mast and the lift point is set too far backwards. Going to you area in Galicia in August, maybe we can swap fuselages/wings and test combinations if you are interested. Contáctame por privado si ...

Re: Do all carbon mast do this?

I have just got a 102 Phantasm mast and love it. I have put in almost 500km in 4 days and rides perfectly at all angles and speeds, both in flat and choppy water. After years suffering spontaneous ventilations with aluminum masts (Liquid Force Gong V1 and GongV2) the phantasm masts gives me the conf...

Slingshot 653 Phantasm fuselage compatibility

For Phantasm experts: I have a Slingshot 102 carbon mast + 653 short fuselage + 657 wing + 325 stab and love it ! It is great for fast carving, very agile but stable at speed. The mast is totally reliable at any angle, speed and water surface conditions. Coming from the Gong V2 alu mast which ventil...

Re: Slingshot Phantasm 657 - Intense whizzling

Hi, Are you using the shorter 653mm fuselage? Have you used any other front wing other than the 657 with this fuselage? I have the 653mm fuselage + 653 wing + 325 stab. I algo had the same noise but got rid of it sanding the mast. I have tried to put the Moses 633 wing in the fuselage. It fits well,...

Re: Wing profile info for backyard hydrofoil builders

Thank you PrfctChaos for the info about the fast profiles, I see that the NACA 1306 is very thin: https://bit.ly/3qcJTiJ . This profiles are more challenging to make at home, but I think I can reinforce the central area with more carbon to make it strong enough. These are some photos and info of my ...

Re: Wing profile info for backyard hydrofoil builders

Hi, I am glad I found this thread. I have been making my foils for a couple of years. I have made abut 8 wings and a bunch of stabs. All 3D printed and vacuum laminated in carbon. In fact I am the one who designed and made the https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4657218 foil that some of you are makin...
