Re: Kit is becoming too expensive

If I was flown to Mauritius every year for the F one Launch, like Rou for the last 15 years, id have a pretty skewed concept of what's "consumer friendly" too.

Re: Ozone leading edge bladder failures?

... It's quite sad that a customer these days who spends >1000 on a kite is having failures, and worse still struggling to get bladders ok'd by Matt McTaggart that are peanuts to make in Vietnam. The cut throat nature of the industry is worrying. My question is : WHY would anyone reading a topic li...

Re: Ozone leading edge bladder failures?

That a very helpful picture to post, I have been wondering what's going on as I have always found it invasive to replace an ozone valve on my old kites due to the welding of the clear material. Good to know what to look for on 2014-2020 kites. It's quite sad that a customer these days who spends >10...

Re: Kit is becoming too expensive

The lockdowns made local spots extremely busy. Even when the BKSA had a restriction on teaching beginners, the rules were not being followed by local shops. Price is an interesting concept, every second person you meet at the UK beach next year with either be a 'shop rider' or instructor to benefit ...

Re: Duotone 2021

The safety is loaded so you might as well swap it out for a SK99 line. Infact if I see a decent 2020 bar on sale id get that and buy ozone lines for it.

Re: Advice for a first surfboard

If you're worried about breaking it the best advice would be to get a S/H bamboo sandwich to see you through the early stages before you go spend big on a PU or EPS "pro" construction like duotone/north/slingshot offer. The older slingshot celeritas could work well in a 5'6". I got and still use an ...

Re: 2021: King of the Air predictions

I'd like to see Liam win it but unfortunately he's sponsored by the wrong brand for freestyle and big air.

Half the panel last year worked for North action sports. Funny that.

Re: The best way to self land 4 line kite with low V

Step 4 suggestion, I hold both front lines from the V and work my way up hand over hand. Upon reaching the point of the stopper ball on my ozone line I let the top line slide out gradually and continue on.

The kite moves more onto it's back and you can secure by holding the bridle and then LE.

Re: Bladder valve glue in the UK?

Aquasure is recommended, I've used it to seal the edges of stick on replacement valves.
I store it in the freezer.

Re: Kitemare warning about crossed lines!

Looks like the kite rolled when you crashed crossing the front lines rather than from a twist from a backroll.

Board-care over self-care lol, I usually drop a rail onto my foot before I let it onto the ground.
