Re: Off Topic - America's Cup Sailing - Foiled Monohulls

Brits as challenger and AC75s sticking around it seems. Good for foil development. If you haven't seen the new Armstrong 1125, to my eye it looks pretty similar to the foils the Kiwis were on. https://www.livesaildie.com/breaking-news-37th-americas-cup-challenger-of-record-announced/ If you watch t...

Re: Off Topic - America's Cup Sailing - Foiled Monohulls

It took them 6 races to learn how to sail the boat and they never looked back, there were 2 or 3 unforced errors by Luna Rossa but I think at best we would still be looking at a 7-5 ETNZ defence. They sailed better and were just happy for level starts.

Re: Woo Sports Updates?

If your now going to tag kite models into the data, how much of the information mined could be potentially sold back to the brands? and if so is it expressly stated in the conditions of use?

Cheers.

Re: Optimal board for both kite and wing foiling

It would be easier to get a board to cover kite and prone foiling double duty, or wing and SUP foil. Ive though about it and a handy-capped compromise size could be around 5'4", a voluminious shape something like the Fanatic sky wing. You get the inflatable Hiype from Gong also. However as previousl...

Re: RPM Dead?

Looking at the description there's no discussion of the bridle apart from it being 25% lighter. Will it have the same wake style/frestyle setting? I guess we can assume it's now fixed bridle/no IRS from the promo pictures alone. I wondered what Julian Fillion was up to at Ride Engine.... Hard to se...

Re: The Amazing Airush Sector

the guys on here that have a vested interest in selling foils will tell you they are obsolete. They lie So true !!, how many times over the years did i have to hear people ( often ignorant novices with a few years of experience that they don't even lived the rise and fall of raceboards, neither of ...

Re: The Amazing Airush Sector

Yes, I have a V3 60. When the foilers scare away the dolphins, I stay out the back and they come say hi. Fantastic boards, I appreciate them even more coming back from foiling, I'm hunting flat conditions in the summer months to cant to leeward. A regular surfboard will never give you anywhere near ...

Re: Directional with straps for small Waves / Not for lightwind, not for freestyle

The Darwinian approach of all the main brands has led to and adopted standard of "Strapless" and "thruster" configurations. What you really need are 5 fin boxes like Airush used to offer. At your weight you can easily go 5'4 -5'6 in a conventional shape. Decide what fins style you like best and the...
