Re: Harness hook broke during kiteloop

Quite clear from the pictures that it is a brittle fracture and hence not the bending action that is the problem (at least not directly). Looks like a fatigue problem because of poor welding and/or welding detail/material choice (fatigue develops faster for larger stresses so it can be argued that h...

Re: Correct kite for conditions

Overpowered: Difficult to keep edge, typically flies the kite very high/ on the edge of the window. Underpowered: Not able to keep height, having to keep moving kite to sail Generally going out on an increasing forecast you should be carefull with taking a larger kite (also valid in unstable weather...

Re: Random thoughts: Any reason you couldn't use latex sealant instead of a bladder?

Tubeless sealant / latex sealant ususally works best when you do not inflate/deflate things often. It will basically fill up the valve and make it not function. It may find it 's way in to repair kits but I do not expect to see it in kites.

Re: Green Light For Cold Hawaii Games

Anyway - you can go to a weather forecast service (e.g. windy) and search for "Vorupør" (replace danish ø with o and it should come up)

Re: Shinn Monk Delaminated

F1 had a similar issue with the 2017 Trax. I got mine swapped.

When it starts delaminating it goes fast. Not sure why some people need to give you a lot of heat. In my mind it shouldn't do it unless there has been some serious damage. But at 3 years it is probably difficult with a warranty claim.

I was wondering if it was a microburst. I think I experienced it once in Thailand. I was on a jetski with my 6 year old daughter. Not a pleasant experience. Looking at he pictures just before it hit we probably should have known better.
