Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Looks like we could do with a separate "foil kite noobs" thread - almost none of this recent stuff is specific to the peak 4 (but will soon be impossible to find for those who actually need it). Some kind of wiki sheet would be good, so people who are interested in this kite dont have to read throu...

Re: Trapped air in double skin foils?

Peaks probably loose more energy through waterdroplets too, especially when they fly up. The ultralight fabric has an uneven surface with a bend at the trailing endge and each droplet that sprays off probably makes the fabric jitter because there is no supporting force from pressure like on a double...

Re: Kitech FRS

Does anyone know of a e-mail adress other than "order@kitechkites.com" to use. Have waited since the 6th of December, just to get a price on a 6m FRS. Haven"t heard back yet... Difficult when you want to buy a new kite now, lol this is what a few days without wind does. I wrote to them on info@kite...

Re: Kitech FRS

For those of you who has tried the FRS back to back with FS Soul. What are your opinions when it comes to boosting of the FRS? I really like to boost both on TT and HF and I use a Soul 10m today and I am worried I might get dissappointed if I buy a FRS 12m or 15m. We have no dealer where I live so ...

Re: Full Body Harness for SnowKiting

I’ve always been very comfortable with my Ozone snowkite harness and would highly recommend it. It is really easy to get down low with to hold an edge. I ride switch a lot, especially on soft snow where snowboards without rear are so much easier. Thats when a climbing harness gets uncomfortable and...

Low aspect open cell vs. single skin

There are bunch of diffent open cell snowkites on the market. While i understand the performance advantage of a high aspect kite or the versatility of a hyperlink, i am not sure what a low aspect open cell can do that a single skin kite can not do better. Is it because some people expect a new versi...

Re: Kitech FRS

Following this thread I got a 12m FRS in standard material (32g) and am very happy with it. The standard cloth version hangs in the air in very little wind. As others have mentioned, the stearing is nice and direct and the easy depower makes it great for foiling. When i sheet out and direct it up fo...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

So, we seem to go round in circles on this a bit. There's a consensus that the 5m, 4m, & 3m are "fun" because they are small, light & lively with great drift for riding downwind on waves or swell. But there's some hesitation about recommending the bigger sizes because they are slower & so lack some...

It is possible. There is some small brand which made high aspect single skins for buggy racing. They are quite successful. Buggy racing is all about performance
It would be grate to try one; does anybody know of this kites?
