Re: backstall on smaller kites

I recognized the same on my 5m Cabrinha Radar from 2015. Since it is my smallest kite I often ride it a bit overpowered and so I guessed the small frame of the kite deforms more under the load.

Re: Anyone tried foiling with a wing?

I'm now in love with this sport! I still wave kite when it's windy and wavy. I still windsurf when it's really windy and wavy I kite foil when it's marginal Now I find myself on the Wing and a surf foil more and more often. I was super sceptical at first like many here but 10 sessions in I'm gettin...

Re: Foot Hooks

You could also use one front strap that goes perpendicular to the riding direction across the outside strap connectors.
Its softer than a hook and when you fall your foot will likely roll out over the strap instead of being caught in it. It works for me!

Re: New pro Gong foil wings?

Projected is what you see from the top if you draw a line around the foil. Developed would be if you peeled the skin off the foil (just the top half of it in that case)

anyone tried this?
https://www.kauper-xt.com/bar?fbclid=Iw ... wc&lang=en
How exactly does it fit into the concept of being "universal"?
Equal length lines, knots in the front and loops in the back

Re: Maneuverable Seat Harness

Thanks everyone. I'll try to find Dakine Vega but we don't have dealer here. Does anyone tried Mystic Foil https://www.mysticboarding.com/products/kite/men/waterwear/harnesses/foil-seat-harness#000000 ? Maybe even can compare to Dakine Vega? I have the mystic foil and love it, much better than the ...

so stall means, that you are riding too slow and falling down on the water Surface, Right?
Yes except for low aspect wings which have some play between when they start to stall and when they fall down

Re: Small stabilizers

Then the opposite also exists, namely that really short fuselages with big elevator can give you a super narrow "loop" radius, so for aerobatics this can be extremely fun. For a hydrofoil, we dont use the control surface(s) the same way, as we steer by weightshift and yaw input instead, so the agil...

Re: Small stabilizers

Less drag? Yes a tad, but not really worth mentioning, so shouldnt be a deciding factor. 8) Peter 30% smaller, I'd have thought more than a tad... Did some fast calculations, and a 30 % smaller stab with say a 1200 cm2 wing, would only decrease the overall drag about 2 % even in the most ideal scen...
