Do you guys know weight of switchblade 14m 2018 as comparison to contra 15m?
switchblade 14m 2018 is 4.1kg (without the bag of course), so 100 grams heavier than the Contra 15m.

My latest travel I vaccum packed a 14m and 10m and placed them in a kite bag for my carry on.
This is a great idea! That's about 7-8 kg of weight off the checked bag.

Did you roll the kites one inside the other before vacuuming? I suppose both kites fitted in your 10m kite bag? Thanks!

Re: Tips for travelling with kite equipment - how do you pack?

One kite = 4 kg is like a time machine from 2004 4kg is for 2018 Switchblade kite without the bag. Seems like 5-strut kites weight hasn't changed much over the years. 2 check-in bags, one clothes and one kite bag would be how I’d do it, each 23Kg max One board/golf bag one checked bag small backpac...

Re: Boracay set to reopen. But did they ban kitesurfing?

Can anyone post some updates? Is everything as it used to be in relation to kitesurfing?

Is it beginner friendly? Thanks!

Re: You love it - SUP and kite shop in Dusseldorf - Do not buy!

I had similar bad experience as the OP. Ordered a wetsuit and waited over 2 months. After numerous calls and emails they finally offered to send me an alternative wetsuit, different brand and color. It did not fit and is now collecting dust in my locker. Be very careful when ordering, especially if ...

Re: Oman Air to Zanzibar - golf bag included in baggage allowance?

So after some phone calls I can confirm that Oman Air is a NO-NO for any kind of large sports equipment... A CS agent confirmed that NOTHING over 158 linear centimeters (width + height + length) is allowed on their planes. The only option would be to send it via cargo...

Oman Air to Zanzibar - golf bag included in baggage allowance?

I'm about to fly with Oman Air from Milan to Zanzibar and Oman Air states at many places on their website that golf bags travel free on all their routes to/from/through Muscat. However, no maximum dimensions have been specified anywhere.. Has anyone traveled with them and can you get away with a boa...

Re: Help me complete my quiver: 80 kg rider

What about the board? I currently have just one board - Brunotti Buzz 136 x 41 cm. What would be a suitable twintip board to buy for light wind? I am 80 kg and 190 cm tall.

Re: Help me complete my quiver: 80 kg rider

Thanks again for all the input. I didn't realize I could use the same bar for all kites (if I buy Cabrinha kites), which would save some money and weight when traveling. I will be looking for a 9m Switchblade (or maybe some other compatible all-around model, if there is any in Cabrinha's line up). M...
