Re: which paint on epoxy board repair

Thanks. How many layers would you recommend? I still think the spray would make the transition to the original coating easier, but I haven't decided yet. Should I put a layer of clear glossy coat over the coloring? And if doing so, would I need glossy white or just any white since the clear coat wil...

which paint on epoxy board repair

Unfortunately I had to repair a small ding in my directional board. I did it by appplying a few layers of carbon fiber. This part has worked out well. The board has a shiny white appearance and I would like the fixed area to also be in the same shiny white. While hitting the same white may well be i...

Re: Woo Sports out of business?

Can you give dealers more then $70 bucks wiggle room per device entire industry all the pubters expect 10 to 20 percent off literally brand new released gear. Doesnt make it very worthwhile to drop a chunk on 20 devices for if your lucky 40 a pop after your crazy postage fees. Meanwhile everyone sw...

I thought so too...but doesn’t look like it.

Anyone knows a free alternative ?
Afaik openstreetmaps (osm.org) are free to use and especially when it comes to details in regions that are a little off the beaten path superior to Google Maps.

Have you tried osm?

Re: New SARLite Emergency Signalling Kit

As expected: "Red rockets, handhelds and orange smoke are still the only recognised flare distress signals under maritime safety rules that comply with the international convention for Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS)." This article gives a good overview: https://www.sailingtoday.co.uk/gear/gear-on-tes...

Re: New SARLite Emergency Signalling Kit

I always wear an impact vest, so signaling in that fashion wouldn't present any difficulty. I doubt it would be too difficult without one for limited intervals. You are arguing against using something that might save someone's life. We aren't arguing for points, just to try to help people out. Most...

Re: New SARLite Emergency Signalling Kit

Finally I think what could really be helpful is something like a flare. Some pyrotechnical stuff that makes a bright light source and a lot of smoke, so one can easily be spotted. Just swirling stuff around as shown in the video is what's absurd, when you are submerged in the water shoulder deep. -...

Re: New SARLite Emergency Signalling Kit

I don't really see the point here. The lights shine bright at night. Yes. But no one kites in the dark. Maybe there are some situations where it gets dark, but I still feel this is not designed for kiteboarders in distress. How are you supposed to whirl around these glow sticks if you are swimming i...

Re: Search rescue wearable

I think it would be useful to include a feedback if the alert has been received and if help is on its way. Possibly with an ETA (estimated time of arrival). Also, a cancel button would be good to have. Some situation may seem hopeless at first but may become easier or even resolved by whatever means...
