Re: 2020 North Production Problems

Perhaps be an issue with the Australian distributor then, as the supply issues have affected shops in both NZ and Australia. Maybe North should look after it's NZ base and allow NZ to have it's own distribution arrangement.

Re: 2020 North Production Problems

What's bugged me the most is I bought the control bar but found the throw is too long. Official North support suggested try the short freeride loop (the loops are easily swappable) but the loops have only just shown up this week (so I haven't been able to use the new bar properly for nearly two mont...

Couldn't be bothered reading the thread but try Perth, Australia.

Re: 2020 North Production Problems

It's buyer beware if you're thinking of dipping your toes in and trying the gear. If you want to proceed with buying the rest of the quiver, accessories etc you may be waiting months. Regarding support - I've already received my first kite & bar. I was trying to get some support to find out what is ...

2020 North Production Problems

Is it just Australia and New Zealand that are bearing the brunt of production issues with 2020 North? I bought my first North kite & bar early last month but there have been delays on: *Pulse kites - not a single kite has shown up yet *Pumps - still not shown up *Freeride short loop - only just show...

Re: 2020 gear already on sale?

The lesson here, until the industry stops this practice, most of us will continue only buying gear end of season once 30% has been knocked off it.

Re: 2020 gear already on sale?

Kudos to Ozone and other brands that put out models (e.g. Edge V10) and only release the next model once there has been a tangible improvement - not some annual release schedule. That's a peeve I have with the industry - then there are brands like Airush that switched to model numbering but still br...

Re: North Kiteboarding 2020

I've got a Navigator Bar and Carve. Only gripe about the Navigator is the throw is too long (for me anyway), hopefully the short freeride loop will help. The easy switch from 50 to 55 (for my bar) is pretty sweet. OMG the selt belt click chicken loop system. Why doesn't every brand do this!? Carve i...

How much wind can a single strut handle

Before it turns to sh*t?

Thinking of getting an Airush Ultra 6m for those 30-40 knot days. I'm ~100kg.
