Re: Harness Lasting a lot longer

I go through a waist harness every 1.5 years. It's my most replaced piece of equipment. Sometimes I'm lucky and the horse saddle guy can get a needle through to sew the straps back on. I'm a heavy TT rider usually riding overpowered.

Re: Duotone ClickBar Size

The kite won't fly any different on a different size bar. It will just make it easier to turn. It's personal preference. I use my trust bar on the small setting on my 15m because I want to slow down the turning speed. Up to you. Just make sure you use the 22m lines on the kites :). Probably get away...

Re: Big Air/Kiteloop Progression Kites

My thoughts on the choices Evo: good hangtime and is also good for looping Dice: probably makes the progression harder but might be more fun than the Evo Rebel: good for jumping/big air but would most likely kill myself trying to learn powered loops on that Core GTS: for some reason I really like t...

Re: Anyone got any sneaky info on the new Duotone Juice?

If they simply just change the materials like they did the Rebel, they should get a reasonable performance increase. Especially for a lightwind kite.

Re: Duotone lines still poor quality?

Dan, rather than pile on, I'll just say that your longevity comment is spot on. It's not the strength of the lines - it's whether or not they wear so much they break after 1 season. I watched Lasse Walker roll out his lines prior to KOTA at Dolphin. They were not the standard Duotone lines. They wer...

Re: The craziness is underway in Cape Town

That's awesome. I'm super jealous of the CT wind. It's so much better. Yesterday I was on a 10m in 25-30kn and underpowered. Same conditions in CT and I'm juiced on the 9m. Had to relearn how to kite. You don't have 10s every jump to sort out your looped landings. CT wind is just epic. Hopefully wil...

Re: Duotone Rebel Vs. North Orbit?

The North bar looks good but haven’t held one yet. It's pretty good. First bar outside of a Duotone I actually like using. It's asymmetric, so easier to tell which way the bar should be facing after a bad crash. They have a safety line problem though. I think there's some wear inside the tubing tha...

Re: Duotone Rebel Vs. North Orbit?

Am surprised to hear people say the Orbit jumps better than the Rebel. First time i jumped an 8m Rebel it surprised me. Felt like a rocket. Was used to riding Switchblades and Ozone Edge for jumping. Hang time was similar but the Rebel felt like it went up much quicker. Any very high aspect kite wo...

Re: Red Bull King of the Air 2020 - all info here

Kevin didnt finish anywhere. Is it Reedin kites? No don't think he had much chance winning this year anyway...his trickbook is jus too limited. Most other guys switched up their tricks to meet the competition, Kevin just sticked to his routine. Does he jump high, YES. Is he in control, SURE. But no...

Re: The craziness is underway in Cape Town

Lovely day today, wind filling in after noon. I launched at Milnerton lighthouse around 2PM and the relatively southerly direction meant the wind was reasonably steady, not too offshore, and the waves clean. 9m and strapless directional were the call and they worked well all the way down. But first...
