Re: Lords of Tram - GKA Big Air World Cup 2024

24.2 was JBo. Lewis said on the stream it was 30kn gusting 60kn. I heard from the beach it was all over 20-30 gusting 50+. The highest the local meter there (I don't know where it's situated, so accuracy is very suspect) was 29 gusting 44. It looked both a lot less windy and a lot more windy than th...

Re: Lords of Tram - GKA Big Air World Cup 2024

It’s utter rubbish these guys are essentially risking their lives doing an extreme sport for our entertainment, yet get paid next to nothing for comps. 3000 euros for winning a leg of the “world championship” is horrendous. I don’t know how much their sponsorships pay them to compete, but I doubt it...

Anyone knows how Marc Jacobs is doing ?
Badly bruised ribs and back from round 2. Both ankles, both knees from round 3. Suspected torn ACL.

Won't know how long he's out until he's back in NZ.

Re: Ozone Vortex Ultra-X

Jason Montreal is waiting for wind to do his review of it.

A few people around here have said it's easier to ride, more explosive lift, better looping, not quite the hangtime of the Edge. Next time it's windy, I'll see if I can steal one for an hour or so.

Re: Lords of Tram - GKA Big Air World Cup 2024

Marc did his ribs and back in round 2. Round 3 ACL and ankle. Apparently it was 22-30, gusting 40-60kn. Riders didn't know if they were going to get lifted or dropped and just hoped the gust lasted long enough to land.

Wishing him a speedy recovery.

Re: Clement Huot leaving F One / joins Harlem

That's interesting. I'm not seeing the yank from the new spinning style of kites at all. It appears that they simply spin off the wingtip but don't generate the power we are used to seeing. I suppose the benefit is in the initial pop off the water from the super fast turning speed, however this typ...

Re: Duotone defalte valve

Often happens that on Duotone Evo D/Lab the bridle is stuck on the deflate valve during launch. Usually I have to halt the launch of the kite and "untagle" it before trying to relaunch the kite. This time my caddy already released the kite and the bridle opened the valve somehow and this part that ...

Re: Airton Cozzolino leaving Duotone

Don’t mean it’s dead. But I have hard to think it’s a big market for have a load off sponsorship for that? I mean the money for a tea rider need to come in from something and if you don’t sell kites to over the coast it’s gone be a strange strategy. Pretty sure a all round kite is bigger market. Ye...
