Re: Kite gear destroyed in fire caused by kite gear

I feel bad for the dude that lost so much equipment, but it is only money guys
the whole post sounds a bit too much - "devastating", "tradegy","despair", father jumps into flames to save equipment?!

I hope he can get some help from people that can afford it...

Re: Too big for a small board?

When i was around 95 the smallest i would ever go was 138 and that is when nicely powered, for us big folks big boards are not a negative I would say, most people that bash them are probably 70kg with a wetsuit
the board I use the most is 145 and i can use it in any conditions

Re: (European) car for kitesurfing?

Thule has a very nice roofbox crane that can be setup in the garage, makes removing and storing boxes very easy I would suggest its easier to unbolt the roof rack than to undo the roofbox from the roof rack. It was certainly half the number of bolts last time I used one. If you live in a country wh...

Re: (European) car for kitesurfing?

I am using an audi a5 coupe, that when the back seats fold can fit even a longboard (10'), so I think a station wagon would be the same or even better. Another thing that i do is i actually have a rooftop box that is big enough to hold 2 kiteboards, harnesses, pump and other small bits that i don't ...

I think the skill in low wind riding will also make a difference when comparing different riders.

Re: Comunication System in Water ?

bbtalkin is as good as it gets i think, not perfect but reliable, easy to replace mics or speakers if they have issues
also can connect via bluetooth to a phone to listen to music or call someone on the phone and have unlimited range

and it is a proper duplex realtime communication, not push to talk
