Sometimes if you swim towards the kite in the water, slacking your lines ( super careful to not get tangled in them ) the kite can flip back around, or flip around again. This way you can get it back up and get to shore even if the lines are twisted. There is a video or two out there on relaunching ...

Hi,

Mine were too long as well. I got M6x30, and changed them to Allen head as well. No problems at all now.

I think the more time you spend on a directional the easier and less painful foiling will be (there's always going to be a pretty steep learning curve though!). I own a North Speedster on the Hybrid board. I'm a beginner foiler, about four years kiting of which 90% on strapless directional boards. My previous foiling experience was in a Cabrinha Double Agent 2017. I got up on the Cabrinha strapless first time I tried foiling, pretty wobbly and not for long....

Never wash my kites, mostly because I usually don't have anywhere to wash and dry them. Also because I suspect that the amount of chlorine in our local water would harm them. I never put them away wet though, they are always completely dry, which also makes it easy to get the sand off which I really...
