Re: Offshore windshift ---> Lost Kite

If you are out kiting and the wind goes offshore, it's almost never 100% offshore. Even being a few degrees from perpendicular side-off, you can easily self rescue 'sail' the kite back to shore. Worst case, it's perfectly perpendicular 100% offshore. You can still 'sail' the kite upwind. You won't ...

Re: Strutless Gong Kite Reviews?

I remember paying 70 euros for having it shipped to Miami, but then I had to pay the import duty. You may want to ask Jaime (the guy who ships the kites) to declare it at a lower value maybe... his email is jr AT gongshop.com

Re: Keswick Clarendon Beach Closure

I think we are dealing with a mental pattern here. The TC has an unfulfilled desire to police and control others. As he states he has access to 15 other spots but instead of just going to one of them and leaving everybody be he threatens to shut down the Clarendon park (which is another mania since ...

Re: Keswick Clarendon Beach Closure

I am sure I will be speaking for everyone in Toronto's kiting community here. Could you please update your letter to Mayor M Quirk with the following: " We would also humbly ask you to impose a parking fee of 250$ per hour, restrict access to the beach on the weekends and totally ban the Jews and go...

Re: boxer looping

If this kite has good depower, and I reckon it has if flying very forward in the window as tests say, I would embrace this feature that it has loads of power when looped :thumb: You dont ever need to downloop the kite, at least not when turning or jibing, so if too much power use upsweeps here inst...

boxer looping

hi wondering if its anyone else's experience that boxers generate too much power in the loops? i am a beginner learning transitions on a foil and find that I can't control the surge when I loop my 8m boxer. it literally throws me off the board. Trying to make those loops tight doesn't seem to help m...

Re: Shinn Jackson - Sunburner

my problem with the jackson board is that the pad keeps peeling off no matter what i do.
i used contact cement to glue it and tried to attach it with gorilla tape, nothing helps, the whole thing is hanging on treads now.

if someone has experience fixing it i'd appreciate an advise,
regards

Re: Flying footswitch learning time

The back foot switch is where you position the back foot in front of the mast, bring the front foot back closer to the back foot, put the old back foot forward, then reposition your new back foot. Thanks for the instructions. what i am not able to figure out is how to move the front foot? I can obv...

Re: WtF man. Will I ever learn transitions...?

i am struggling with the foot switches as well with no light at the end of the tunnel :) However, what recently helped me a bit was that instead of having the kite stationary at 11 before the switch I have it moving from 11 to 12 while shuffling my feet around. Not sure if its the right thing to do ...

In marginal wind, I prefer the option 3. (pivot turn)
With a 1000cm2 front wing and a race kite...

Cheers
Is there a video of this gibe?

Unfortunately no.
If it would help, I try to make a video in May/June...

Cheers
it would be very helpful.
