Does anyone have experience with Gong wings? I have seen a few posts where people complain about exploding bladders that dont get covered by the warranty so I'm being a little hesitant about pulling the trigger on those.
thanks
hi all. it maybe a long shot, would anyone have the weights of 5m and 7.5m naish mk4 wings? also would be interested to hear the opinions of those who have flown them, are they any good? interestingly not a lot of info on those i could find. Considering buying a 3 wing quiver of mk4's as my first wi...
Mui Ne = December to March, wind blasts 30+ 50% of the days, dangerous shore break, dangerous wave/tide/wind conditions, no rules/Russia rules on the beach, jet ski support required. Surrounding area is dangerous, tourists are subject to endless harassment, scams and blackmail. Kites shops are a mi...
There is a huge difference between theft and locking someone inside a port-a-potty to steal their stuff. In Canada you might get the occasional opportunistic theft when nobody is looking but if someone were to lock you in a port-a-potty to steal your stuff that would make the 6 o'clock news and the...
what i found working for me is that once the kite is behind you say at 11 you lean hard against the lines and crank the bar with all you have.
This makes the kite loop tight above your head and helps you complete the tack to the heel side.
makes it look so easy, i've been struggling with this move for a while
the topic title is fair though, very basic set of instructions, thanks for posting.
Sorry if you already know all this: If the kite feels too slow at top of window and you lose speed and energy during a tack, you might be: 1. Sending the kite too soon so that it slows down and sits at 12 o’clock with no apparent wind 2. Sheeting in too much, which is slowing the kite down (see 1) ...
Have never attempted it, but I don't see why not. Are you using foils or LEI kites? I duck tuck my slow 15m foil kite with 22m lines in 6 knots, provided I gain *enough speed* before the tack. It is all about timing. And yes: looping is your friend. Also: if you're using such long lines it's probab...
Do you guys know if it's possible to do duck tacks with 29m lines? The problem i am facing is that the kite seems to be too slow to move to the other side of the window. The only way i manage to pull one off occasionally is when i downloop the kite but then I inevitably touch down every single time....
