Re: Ozone leading edge bladder failures?

@Qman - the issue that seem common with certain batches of Ozone kites as reported here and confirmed/accepted by Ozone is not micro holes, but valve to bladder bonding. I have had that on my Enduro V2, bladder replaced under warranty. I am kiting predominately on fine sand beaches, but never exper...

Re: Gear advice: Duotone click bar with cabrinha FX

In general you can fly any modern 4 line kite with the Click bar. Even Duotone positions it as an universal bar. Re: Impact Vests in 2020/21 - A focus on rib protection

For those of you with vest experience, which do you prefer — pullover or zipper? It seems like when wearing a wetsuit, a zipper might be a better option. Shirtless and in warm-water, the pullover seems like it becomes a solid option, but I don’t think I’d want to fight neoprene over neoprene. I hav...

Re: Impact Vests in 2020/21 - A focus on rib protection

I always wear a vest when kiting. Although I am not sure what impact protection does it provide it for sure adds warmth and buoyancy. Used to have ION Vector, but felt it a bit too bulky. Now since 3 years I use Prolimit Stretch - it is way more flexible and slimline(thinner foam) than ION, but I th...

Re: Standard crazyfly raptor Vs raptor extreme, real life reviews?

@pj sofine - for me Raptor LTD has held extremely good as well! When I started the sport in 2016 I bought used 2013 Raptor LTD from a friend. It was 140x42 and I have used this board until this September - that is 7 years! I bought now 2021 LTD 136x41. Comparing those 2 boards: 140(2013) is noticea...

Re: older kiters prescription glasses how does everyone handle it?

I am using contact lenses and wear sunglasses when on the water - so far so good. In your case if you should go prescription glasses - check on Lip: https://www.lip-sunglasses.com/products/watershades-rx/ These are the best you can get for watersports in my experience. There is no way you can lose t...

Re: Standard crazyfly raptor Vs raptor extreme, real life reviews?

The broken board on the pictures is NOT Raptor Extreme, but Elite - completely different board, the lightest CF makes. Extreme on the other hand is CF's big air "heavy duty" board - sturdier, designed to be optionally ridden with boots, durable bottom sheet, etc. And as @Faxie wrote - every board ca...

Re: Core Sensor 3 Safety Issues (Core statement in initial post)

@TheRussian - to me this also comes as a surprise! I always wash my bar, harness and board with fresh water given that I kite at a spot where there is such an option present. And so far this has been recommended in every kite gear manufacturer's "care instructions".

Re: Surf eye. How Common?

Good article on the subject of Pterygium and sunglasses: https://www.wetestkites.com/2020/11/15/ ... or-an-eye/
Hope more people will think seriously about wearing eye protection when on the water.

Re: Cabrinha Overdrive lines

I can second what peppedurso wrote above - been using Cabrinha bars last 5 years, past year added a bar with Liros dc-401 pro lines. I don't know what lines Cab is using and can not comment on their strength, but they withstand wear and tear better than the dc-401. Not saying Liros are bad, just the...
