Re: The Low Volume Wingfoil Waterstart (Step By Step)

Yes, Horst, I'm foiling it mono. I actually found monofoiling it much easier to do than getting on that little monster. Nice video work, OK Kiteboarder! 🤙🏻

Re: Airstyle - foil addition ?

Yup, kiting has never been--and will never be--a mainstream sport, no matter what its form. I have "kiting" friends who pick biking over kiting because they can go almost anytime. No waiting, rigging, complaining, and more waiting. No long learning curve, almost anyone can ride a bike. Buy the lates...

Re: Aluula ? New Revolutionary Material from Ocean Rodeo

Someone needs to use this material to make a stiff, light wing for winging. 😜

Re: Monofoil or "riding stabless", setup and riding

No photographer during our tandem mono sessions, but we got some nice 360 shots on the CRX stubby.

Re: Monofoil or "riding stabless", setup and riding

Have you used your "M" wing? What is your weight together? And can you say more about how hard it was and what to take care for? Any chance to do my first tandem ride directly on a Mono? (One time I want to start a new foiling sport directly the right way  ) Thanks a lot. We were using the NP...

Can't wait to see your video: "tandem monofoiling on a wave"
Suzy and I had our first day tandem monofoiling. Lots of fun. Did some 360s, some were ugly, but we almost foiled out of one. 😁 No drone footage, though. ☹

Re: Shorter fuselage or smaller stab?

Why do you use the stubby, and not always the mono? 8) Peter The quality of the wind and water mainly. The mono is more sensitive to bad conditions. Also, it's easier to learn some tricks with the extra stability. There's always a tradeoff. That's why I'm a foil hoarder; I like having the best tool...

Re: Shorter fuselage or smaller stab?

Learning to mono is similar to learning to foil, you have to be willing to give your brain time to build an autopilot. One day it just clicks. Riding a stubby gives about 50% of the mono feel, but it's much easier to learn. I tell my friends they have to give it an hour, but usually their egos only ...

Re: Shorter fuselage or smaller stab?

I enjoy mono and stubby foiling so much that I have several combinations of them. I have one dedicated mono, while the others work as both. My style is wave/carving and freestyle/jumping. They are not great for pure speed runs, so if max GPS is your thing, leave it long. In addition to the added agi...
