Re: North Launches 2022 Range

"so the kite feels even lighter and more responsive in all conditions." Who cares about "feels", is it REALLY lighter compared to the Orbit v1? Unfortunately, the only kite brand that I know of that actually provides the weight statistics on their kites is CrazyFly. The NK website doesn't state any ...

Re: Cabrinha 2021 Launched

CrazyFly publishes the weight of their kite models by size. It would be nice if Cabrinha (and all kite brands) published the same statistics.

Re: new reviews on 2021 North Orbits?

I flew my new 2020 Orbit yesterday for the first time (I know this is a bit off topic bc it's not 2021). 8m in about 25-30mph of wind (I weigh 165lbs). WOW!!! I am dumping my 11m Cab Switchblade and am picking up another Orbit. Compared to the SB, the Orbit loops faster, has less bar pressure and se...

Re: Cabrinha Launches the Icon Series

Limited edition kites? Seems like a gimmick IMO. As opposed to every other marketing idea in kiting? I feel like both the Drifter and SB are virtually unchanged for the last 5-6 years, so to come out with the identical kite from the prior half decade and call it limited is just a weird gimmick for ...

2021 Crazyfly released

Some new 2021 gear was just released on Crazyfly's website. I'm highly interested in the Hyper: https://www.crazyflykites.com/kites/hyper Website says: With the 2021 Hyper we continued improving what has been a trend in kites in recent years: strength to weight ratio. The 2021 Hyper 12m kite is 0,4 ...

Cabrinha 2021

I haven't heard a word about Cabrinha's 2021 line up. Has anyone seen or heard anything? I'm wanting to get my hands on the AV8 as I have owned Velocity kites in the past but I want to see what they bring out for the 2021 line up. I'm also looking to get a new Contra but the North Reach 15m seems to...

Re: Bahamas - where and when?

Check out Makers Air for flights from Fort Lauderdale Executive airport to the more far flung bahamian destinations, they hit a bunch of the out islands regularly that silver and bahamasair don’t go to from FL, or at all. Thanks...will do! Also, noticed you're from Erie. I was born there and moved ...

Bahamas - where and when?

I'm planning my next kite trip. I live in FL so like visiting areas in my general neck of the woods (I just got back from a kite trip in PR). Is the Bahamas any good in terms of wind, flat water and sandy? If so, where and when? I'd like to avoid the need for a boat to get me to a spot. Ideally, I'm...
