Re: Best/simplest action camera/software and mounts for kiting

Looking into the simplest way to capture some riding on video and want the experience of the group to help me figure out a minimalist set up. Goals are to capture the riding from relatable perspectives with minimal hardware and relatively easy to use and run software. Not looking to spend hours edi...

Re: Finally tacking beyond stoked!

Is that one of Triton's boards? I live just south of him and have done some collaboration work with him on a hydrofoil we may do sometime together. His boards are simply the most amazing pieces of artwork I have ever seen in person. They actually don't look real with some of the wood inlays and stu...

Re: Moses 2019-2020-2021

The best thing Moses can do now is to stop putting the fuselage ontop of the wings. It is a bad detail for drag (creating big losses right where the wing is doing the most of its work.). But it would mean they need new fuselages and wings, so might be too extreme a change for them. See Armstrong, A...

Re: Finally tacking beyond stoked!

These took forever and I still don't nail them all the time. It gets tiring practicing them day after day after day, though. https://www.instagram.com/p/CKNOnoBjiZw/ I'm trying to learn tacks to toeside on the wingfoil now. It's pretty similar, but the hand work is way different. I can only do it in...

Re: Moses 2019-2020-2021

What's everyone's opinion on how much more improvement we can expect to current moses kite hydrofoil designs? I feel like the Moses (SAB) kite foil range covers pretty much every style and discipline of kite hydrofoil (550, 590, 670, 558, 679, 633, 695, 718, 800). Is something missing which should ...

Re: St. Croix

I’m in the BVI right now. I assume the wind in St. Croix is about the same but I don’t know the spots. I’d sail over and check it out but then I can’t come back here because of quarantine rules. It’s been windy lately, though.

Re: How to kite foil - The Basics

Dude doesn't use standard terminology. He alternates between "shaft", "strut" and "mast" for the item every one else calls a "mast". There has been, is , and will be only one word in the English language to accurately describe the structural component between the board and fuse. See definitions, pa...
