Re: Wing thing any fun without proper waves?

Ended up with an Axis HPS 1050 and a BSC 890 with short fuse and 390 stab. Had my first session today! Really easy to get the hang of, but physically so tiring, even if I tried to keep my arms straight most of the time. Can't wait to try it in the waves! The new high aspect wings(only tried the 1050...

Re: F-one gravity 1800 foil - experience?

Great! So no need to swap for something like Axis down the road?

F-one gravity 1800 foil - experience?

Hi! Does anyone have experience with the standard f-one gravity 1800? Also, is f-one a good foil system with regards to upgrading, or will I want to swap the whole system when I transition to smaller possibly HA wings down the road?

Re: Secure foil from Olaian/Decathlon

A bit more focus on safety would be welcome in the foil market. I find it crazy to take a sandpaper to a completely new 1000-2000$ product, just to stay a little safer. I've instinctively developed a "turtle tuck" position with my arms covering my head every time I wipe out on my kite foil. But afte...

Secure foil from Olaian/Decathlon

What do you think of this concept? It looks like it could create a lot of drag. Maybe good for complete beginners? Also has soft edges on the mast for softer impacts.

Re: Wing thing any fun without proper waves?

Thanks for the write up! I guess my concern is mostly how it compares to kite foil, since that's mostly what I'm doing now. After watching more wing videos it seems like you guys can catch quite small waves with those huge foil wings. Flagging out the wing on a wave, and not ever have to worry about...

Re: Gong vs other brands wings and foils

Thanks! Have you also tried their wings? I can't find too many reviews on their different new models.

Gong vs other brands wings and foils

So I'm really trying to put together a cheap setup to get started. But I want to avoid having to change everything after one season or less. The stuff from Gong seems like the cheapest way in. But how does their gear compare to the other brands? Are the wings worse than the offerings from Duotone, F...

Re: Wing thing any fun without proper waves?

I can get a pretty good deal on a second hand Gong Lemon 4'8 70L board. But I guess I'll hate myself for buying it on all the 7-8ms days we have around here.
