Re: Will Kite Foiling ever be relaxing?

With time and the right equipment kitefoiling is extremely relaxing. If the wind is completely ridiculous with 10 knot plus variations then no wind sport will be relaxing but with reasonable wind, enough experience, a good foil and a range of kites suited to foiling it can be quite meditative. It ma...

Re: Hot days ; bad for kiting!

Things not only will get worse with climate change, they already have on the East coast of Australia. Just over two years ago we had the worst fires on record spread over more than 1000km. Uncountable numbers of native animals died along with thousands of ecosystems sterilised, thousands of houses a...

Re: Why am I breaching so much on my new foil?

Tried again. Nice wind 14kts and steady, foil all the way in the back, plenty of sleep the night before. God-damn this is impossible. I was on my cloud ix s24 in similar conditions the day before yesterday and doing great. This? Not a chance. If I manage to waterstart then I can ride no problem but...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 5 is here

Improved relaunch for large Peaks? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PLVQBV6PR0U Can't see the point of condoms in the Peak in the conditions in the video. With such flat water you can even do a drift launch with a Peak without the help of condoms. Also as could be seen in the video the inflated condom...

Re: Current Kitefoil surf-type foils

I ride Moses/Sabfoils, have had the 633 and even with my 65kg never had the issues the OP had with "nose up" and other claimed issues. I think most of these issues could be caused by locating the mast too far forward and other issues are easily addressed with a shim. The other issue the OP might be ...

It would be great if people who share experiences give others basic parameters like your weight, line lengh, front wing area…
Then others will be able to relate…
65kg, 21m lines 990 sq cm and 840 sq cm front wings. (Sabfoil 679 & 800 wings)

Re: Flysurfer Peak 5 is here

This is an interesting idea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lJ7aWH9g9w That video is way overkill for a Peak, for a twin skin foil it's a reasonably safe alternative if you're on your own. Peaks are the easiest and safest kites to launch and land. As Trent Hink has described drop the kite and run...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 5 is here

I know the 8m Peak and up don’t get much love here, but I’m really impressed with my new 8m Peak 5! I have a 6m Peak 5 and usually use a 10m Soul if too light for the 6m Peak. I used 17m lines on the 8m today and it was way more fun for me than my Soul. After a rain storm went by the winds dropped ...

Re: Why am I breaching so much on my new foil?

Try a smaller kite that will just get you up onto the foil. You have a very large foil which needs very little power and you'll find smaller kites much more fun and responsive.

Re: Flysurfer Peak 5 is here

Based on your experience, what is the range of the Peak5 4mts and 5mts? I rode the Peak5 4mts 2 days ago and I think I would have more range with a 5mts...I weigh 88 kg and I have Sabfoil Onda wing. I think I sailed with a range of 12-18 knots. The thing is I don't know if a 5mts would give me more...
