Re: I prefer Hybrids over Peaks, and it’s not only because of relaunch.

I can fly my peaks actively like you showed in the video, but for now, I like to forget about the kite (like wingfoilers do) and focus as much as I can on the wave, and I think the hybrid is better in this regard. Will it change? Will I WANT to fly actively as I surf on the future? I don't know. Fo...

Re: The Hybrid from Flysurfer

I've never had a tangle with the Hybrid. If you keep your leader lines pulled over the leading edge/front of the kite and roll everything else inside the kite you shouldn't have any tangles. When you set up have the kite trailing edge with sand on it directly downwind, take the lines which you put o...

Re: The Hybrid from Flysurfer

So far this southern hemisphere summer I've only used the 3.5m and 2.5m Hybrids. We do get decent and quite consistent seabreeze wind here and I am 67kg but technique is important too. I've found that the Hybrid gets you out of the water best in light winds using a vigorous figure 8 rather than loop...

Re: The Hybrid from Flysurfer

I run the standard 21m Flysurfer bar and lines on all my Hybrid and Peak kites. I have tried shorter lines but found if the wind dropped, the power stroke was too short to get me out of the water easily. In 20 to 30 knot wind I now use the 2.5m Hybrid which has more top end than the 2.5m Peak5 so th...

Re: The Hybrid from Flysurfer

Update on the 2.5m … I’m not sure this kite has a top end! Admittedly, I passed the 50 mph gusting to 60 mph spot and drove on to the 35 gusting to 45 spot. Maybe at the first spot I would have found the top end. But out there today in 30s/40s I still never felt over-powered. I did have a single ti...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

I still only have about 10 hours on my 3.5m hybridersatile and fun. The Hybrid 3.5m is my most used kite and it seems to have improved its wind range the more I use it. What are your guys' low ends for the 3.5m? If the wind measures 10 knots on the shore I'm good with my 66kg on the 3.5m Hybrid :D ...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Out of curiosity- have you guys noticed that there's less deformation with Peak 5 or hybrid in overpowered conditions? I still only have about 10 hours on my 3.5m hybrid, but it is easily the most stable of the Flysurfers I’ve used (4m Peak4, 5m Peak5, 8m Peak4, 6m and 12m Soul v1). The trailing ed...

Re: The Hybrid from Flysurfer

Perfect, thanks... I bet my wind will be beyond 20 knots; , under 15 knots, swell IS not powerfull enough on my region Hi Regis. If your wind will be beyond 20 knots forget the large board and foil and use a small kitefoil board and wing like I do. Using a big board and foil will make the whole exp...

Re: Pansh Kestrel, high performance kite

To make it more clear: If you think you know, how to improve bridles, tell us how. And we can discuss if "we" think it is a good or bad idea. If you won't tell your idea it is pointless to mention it, it just sound very arrogant. Don't tell Designers they do it wrong without telling what's wrong/wh...

Re: The Hybrid from Flysurfer

I bought a second hand 2.5 hybrid for testing pure downwind like sup foil pushed by waves only , without paddle and keep the kite high with as low pilot input as possible (and think about how to turn it auto-zenith in order to get my hands fully free for as long as possible. I' ll keep you update i...
