Re: kiting Anini beach on Kaua'i

Yep, completely agree that it is tide dependent and all of the windsurfers act in total ignorance when asking if kiting is allowed at Anini. I had a great couple of rare wind days at Anini a few years ago.

Why give it 5 stars for Upwind then?
Thanks for that heads up, definitely a typo. Should've been 0 stars. Thanks again. Y'tu TomTom? Say it ain't so......

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Thanks to everyone in this thread. The Peak4 heightened my interest after reading all of the comments, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I rode in 18-35mph winds this weekend and did a review.

Peak4-Hype or Hydrofoil? VIDEO REVIEW

Below is a review of the Peak4 on a hydrofoil for gusty conditions from 18-30mph. I've been really interested in the talk over the Peak4 as an economical foiling option. I couldn't be more pleased.

Re: Seat harness better for foiling?

I switched to a seat harness with rope spreader and it was immediately beneficial for me. No more riding up, easier on toe side with the rope spreader, really no negatives for me at this point. I didn’t notice any conditioning to get used to it either.

I would go with Kami’s approach. Unless you want the back strap for jumping, you could also try a hook facing forward in the most forward back screw hole.
Yes. I only want the back strap for jumping.

Re: Adding custom footstrap placement on Hypermiler board

Yea, looks like you have 250-300 mm to the tail! That is huge. You can put your plate as far back as possible. I build my boards with mast plate 70mm from the tail. Tom, as you can see, I can only move the front strap back two notches, which will still leave way too wide of a stance for me if I uti...

Adding custom footstrap placement on Hypermiler board

What’s the easiest way to add a custom screw hole in the area marked for a more forward back strap position to match my narrow stance?
