Re: The Infexion bar rox (i.e. it’s awesome!)

Absolutely true, they are independent. Are they slower to set than a cleat? Yes. If you need to constantly trim your bar, then it will be a subpar solution. Absolutely no sense in that. Do you have very little depower throw (short arms?) so need a quick way to dump power? Again, bad idea. If you tri...

Re: My experiences with some Gong foilwings

For those riding the monoblocks: the change to the newer masts is absolutely worth it. Even if you do not wish to gain extra stiffness (and there's a lot of it), the possibility to use the new -H stabilizers is worth it by itself. After riding the -H stabs for a year, I tested once again my old Fast...

Re: My experiences with some Gong foilwings

One issue with the Curve is that, at speed, it starts to create a lot of lift for me. This requires a lot of front foot pressure. I am very used to this, so it's no big deal, but I do find myself wondering if a smaller Curve - the S either in the old Curve or in the new Curve might make some sense ...

Re: The Infexion bar rox (i.e. it’s awesome!)

Can I join the list of folks just thoroughly stoked with the Max Bar? :D It has retired every other bar I own, from custom Kite Attitudes to full custom Groove Carbon Bars and the Kauper Pintxo. Nothing comes close. I own the large diameter one (great for big hands), and mine has no cleat but a ridi...

Re: Airwave Alma single skin hybrid

Another update: Could test the 12m twice - and if anyone is interested, it can be sold for a good discount  . Of course I do not like it: a 12m foil is by definition slow when one loves the crazy-fast Kauper Maverick kites  That said, I was very surprised by it. Used it with 18m line...

Re: Airwave Alma single skin hybrid

Bonus: you can turn going fast under it, it will slacken lines, and still remain concentrated on the turn you pull the bar and it will follow and turn with you. It is a new technique for me, but it works very well, and shows what the kite is capable of. That is the signicant difference that the hyb...

Re: Kitefoil boosting with Gong?

A quick addition to my comments, as I had opportunity to test the Freestyle 39 with the Fluid L-s. First: it has become my preferred-ever stab from GONG. :thumb: 1. Lots of lift at low speed make water starting an absolute breeze even underpowered 2. Unexpectedly, it feels *stable* and reassuring… 3...

Re: Kitefoil boosting with Gong?

Thanks!! Exactly what I was looking for! How do you find the 70 cm wingspan for kiting? is it not too much? Can you still hold good upwind angles or do you have to pay attention to it? I do not possess 70cm fronts. The Fluid L-s is 10cm larger than your M-s (76cm). The Ypra-s is M size (they make Y...

Re: Kitefoil boosting with Gong?

The Fluid 42 is a big stab. Its job is to prevent large front wings from pitching downwards at speed. Recommended, even for the Fluid Ls, is the Fluid 38. The larger the stab the more you will have front foot pressure at speed. If you don't mind a change in foil attitude with speed, the Veloce-h36 w...

Re: Kite attitude bars

Excellent bars. Not the lightest (but they also make carbon versions) but bombproof. The 2023 iterations have a new system to join the fronts, removing the previous ring system. You can check it out here: https://www.kiteattitude.fr/fr/120-splitter.html The chicken loop is standard: AKA v3, same as ...
