Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Finally decided to learn kite foiling. Have tried maybe 5 -6 times over past 2-3 years with 2 diff setups in low wind ( with 3 and 5 strut kites) with little to show for it except porpoising. Now have Moses Onda 633 gear and SS 5'6" foil board. Also ordered an 8m Peak 4 because of this thread. Have...

Re: The Gong Hipe Review (Inflatable Wingfoil Board)

[quote oldkiter Update on Gong 5'5". Inflated the board today. Definitely difficult to get it to 15 psi. I am sure it is part that I am somewhat light at 70kg (155#) and my age (VERY OLD)! It weighs apx 16.5 # (7.5 kg +/-) with straps and foil hardware. I will give it a few hours inflated to be cer...

Re: The Gong Hipe Review (Inflatable Wingfoil Board)

I received my Hipe 5'5" 145L board within 5 days of shipping notification to SoCal. It was $755 USD delivered making it about $360 less than Naish 135L. Everything expected was in the package! Customer service has been fine. I also have 2 Gong wings.

Re: Foot Hook advise

Bille I have to watch you every minute!! Mask and distance!!! Very grateful you made it through the virus. Used to be a professor of Microbiology so take it from me this is a nasty bug! Only advice I can give re: directional is I have approached them as in windsurfing. Basically rear foot in front o...

Re: Tips for knee starting or water starting

First time I tried winging, I was positioning board 90 degrees to the wind, and wing downwind of the board, trying to kneel sideways on the board and get up and go... Which was absolute bitch, and complete failure! It's very hard to control pitch and roll kneeling sideways! Now, after it all clicke...

Re: What gear are you all Winging/riding with?

I am using a 4.2 slingwing and a 5 wasp. My board is 138 litres and 7'10" long. I am using the slingshot infinity 99 foil with the large rear wing and the longer fuselage on a 75 cm. mast. I weigh 80 kg. I am getting a 6 foot 120 liter board soon and that is as small as I want to go. Very gusty her...
