Good topic. Should almost be it's own thread!
At 200+ pages I'd say the Peak 4 nearly needs its own forum now.

Re: Advise on using Cabrinha Drifter for light wind kite foiling

If you aren't looking for serious performance on the TT you could switch to the drifter from the switchy. Go 12 and 9m drifters and sell the switchblades👍 I ride them in surfboard, foil and TT 👍 As someone mentioned above I wouldn't stay with Cab just for the bar. Although the 2020 bar is very nice....

Hello guys. what u think is the best option for a switchblade 9 regarding its bar Size , Medium (44-52) or Large (52-60)?ty
Medium on the 52 setting 👍 works for me on a Drifter 9m.

The large bars are clumsy.

Re: Advise on using Cabrinha Drifter for light wind kite foiling

I use a drifters for foiling along with a Cab Double Agent. Drifters are great kites for foiling. I love them. 11 knots is doable on a 9m drifter with some experience. The big difference you'll notice with the switchy and the drifter on the foil is that the drifter will drift downwind much easier. T...

Re: Kite size for strapless vs. twin tips riding

Long answer; depends upon a million things, size of waves, speed of waves, steepness, size of board, etc bla, bla, bla Short answer; 9m That's a decent summary above. Just to add to that. It's hard to wave kite on anything bigger than a 9m. 7m is the magic size for me but you need more wind. You'd ...

Re: Cabrinha 2021 Launched

No news on the 01 Drifter? Maybe nothing changed? If so, the Drifter is similar in 2019, 2020 and now 2021 (01) if I remember correct? I was wondering the same. Just a new colour way? Might stick to my 2020's for another year so. I'd be interested to try the new contra single strut but they seem to...

Very sad news. I admire his work.

I wish him the best of luck with his recovery and my thoughts to the family.

Re: Consultation b4 purchase a second kite

7m is my preferred wave riding kite. 90% of my riding is done on my 7/9m kites with a Surfboard or Foil. I ride on Cab Drifters but I probably stick with the 9 until 23knots. The Neo has a lot of power. A 7m is probably the equivalent of a 8 or 8.5 in another kite. I prefer to have the same model th...

Didn't see a post for your Apple Tree Surfboards podcast ARK. It was excellent. I really enjoyed it.

Re: Low end on a Wing

Thanks for the comments above. Very interesting. As noted above by Peter it isn't a replacement for Kitefoiling low end wise. I like to Kitefoil up to 15 knots. After that I prefer to be on the surfboard. I am going to try winging but I really can see it replacing my Surfboard but I think I'd consid...
