Re: The best kite for Teaching?

CrazyFly Sculp, 2016 or 2017. Dirt cheap but reliable.

Re: Every Major Brand Announcing an Aluula Kite in 2020!

How can you believe anything about something you know nothing about? Doesn't stop millions of people from going to churches and read silly books when they don't know the true nature of the God. Only anthropomorphized idol. But we're not here for religious discussions. Nor for picking on the words, ...

Re: Every Major Brand Announcing an Aluula Kite in 2020!

I still believe that Aluula is sketchy. There must be something that manufacturer doesn't tell us. For example, I'm not sure if those kites were tested in winter conditions. What if Aluula becomes fragile in freezing temperatures? Correct me if I'm wrong. Also, considering the prices. Every year for...

Re: Should professional kiters carbon offset their (many) flights?

Fuel consumption of jet plane per single passenger for 100km is around 3-4 liters, which is less than even going by car.

Any user feedback on the V11?
I've seen a review, but it's russian. Kite got higher aspect ratio following new "big air" trend.

You could try to turn on captions and set them to english, translates quite well.

Re: Buying demo kites - bad idea?

My Fat Lady was a test kite. Wing was in pristine condition, except for a couple of salt and dirt stains that didn't wash out. Bar that came with it was not that good, it was rather old and pretty used. But hey, 17m kite + bar for 1000 euro is a pretty sweet deal for me.

Re: Beginner going upwind question

Your perfect bar position should always be in the middle of depower line. Pulling on the bar to the chickenloop might choke the kite and you will lose speed. But if you would reduce your upwind angle, pulling the bar would help you gain required speed to reach the apparent wind that would help you t...

Re: CrazyFly Introduces The Hyper

Hey! how do you guys consider the HYPER to teach? could this kite be good for lessons or the SCULP would be a better choice? thank you Sculp for sure. It's pretty newbie friendly. Hyper has very high aspect ratio, which makes it close to the race kites. You don't learn how to drive a car on a Camaro.

Re: Should I go for foil?

Yes, It's no-brainer that the foil kites are better in light wind. But the big question is if me as I newbie can handle the foil or I should stick the to LEI until I gain more experience and then switch to foil. Or I can continue learning directly on a foil in LW. It's more about confident level of...
