F-one Phantom-S 940 vs Phantom 980

I have been looking into specifications on this two front wings and the difference is: Phantom-S 940 span 78 AR 6.5 weight 1kg Phantom 980 span 78 AR 6.2 weight 1.2kg Is that a big difference ? Am I going to notice the difference at all ? How much more glide/speed gives the 0.3 in AR at all ? Leanin...

Re: F-One Escape 530/630

Tried them both, they are basically the same shape just one is slightly bigger than the other. My guess is heavier riders/lighter winds combination. I preferred the 630 over 530 in turns and carves, as you have that slight margin of not dropping if you loose the speed, although I have to admit, I li...

Re: Anyone who can compare F-one Mirage and IC6?

Tried the IC6 and both mirage 1000 and 800. Both Mirage wings are faster and glide better because of the thinner profile and different shape. Carving is excellent far better than IC6. With IC6 I experienced that "hitting the wall" moment when you just can`t go any more faster, simply there is a limi...

Re: F-one mirage 800 for winging ?

I weight 60kg, with 0 knowledge of winging, but solid kitefoiling knowledge.
So I guess from responses here to start on a mirage 800 would be hard, but later on, when I get more experienced it might work.
I guess I will have to try it at some point.

F-one mirage 800 for winging ?

Hello everyone. The question might sound stupid as I am not a winger myself, yet. :D Currently I am using the mirage 800 for kitefoiling and I was wondering does it make sense at some point, once I learn basics of winging to use my mirage for winging ? Or is that foil only for kiting and not recomme...

Re: Fone Mirage Carbon 1000 - (opinions)

Maybe I wasn`t clear enough. I don`t actually own any of those two, I just tried it.
I am thinking of purchasing one of those two, and since I didn`t try the 800 only 1000, hence the question.
Cheers.

Re: Fone Mirage Carbon 1000 - (opinions)

@robclaisse Would you rather recommend a mirage 1000 or mirage 800, for a 60kg guy who wants to progress, and most of the time rides with small 6m kite. Tried the 1000, loved it, but still hesitant, as the wind picks up, I`m unable to "tame" it, the foot pressure becomes unbearable. Maybe I`m doing ...

Re: DIY 3D printed foil

Hi guys, very new in this diy world, so of course I made a mistake while printing the front wing in 3d. As you can see on the picture it doesn`t have a desired shape, it is slightly bended on some parts, so my question ism if there is a way to fix it (fill it with putty and sand it to desired shape ...

Re: question for ex-Wainman kite riders

Ex-wainman rider here mostly strapless on a surfboard, gypsy 6.25 favorite kite, had also mr green 7.5 and a smoke 9m when used the twin tip.
The closest I found to wainman are the North Carve and F-one Bandit. Try them if you can.
