Anyone tried the 718? What will be the difference in speed in comparison with the 670?
I use the 720, which is virtually identical to the 618 but for the surf fuselage. It is a great stable foil that I have reached >30knots with. I use the 425 stabiliser with the 720 wing.

Re: Huge board, huge wing, small kite

@drsurf, make sure you film a flag or have a wind meter to show its 8knots, as I still find it hard to believe using a 5m kite in such low winds would be a good choice.

Re: Huge board, huge wing, small kite

Foiling in 7 knots wind with a 5m kite 🤣😂🤣 I was out today with my 15m Chrono and the wind was at a constant 7 knots and on my Groove Skate 130 . I tend to immediately lift off the water as soon as I start to dive the kite (lots of lift from the Chrono). There is no way I would want to sink the boar...

Re: Ultralight vs standard foil kite degradation

My experience is that there are big flying characteristics between UL and standard. I had a 7m Chrono standard cloth kite and was never 100 happy compared to my other UL kites (all bigger). The kite never sat quite right in the wind window and didn’t fall or turn the same when down-looping even in s...

Re: Anyone else have yearly stats to share?

FlandOBX I included the hours for the “nerds”, therefore my 152hrs over 105 sessions means my average session was ~1.5hrs with an average distance of 35km. I’m never that lucky to have multiple sessions in a single day. I was curious to know if there was a better logging platform other than Strava?...

Anyone else have yearly stats to share?

It’s been a great year on the foil. Number of sessions: 105 Distance covered: 3597 km Time on the water: 152 hrs Longest session: 100 km Fastest speed: 56.5 km/h Strava might not be the best software but nice to look back at the stats and add pictures to the various sessions. All the above was possi...

Re: Moses T38 or Groove skate Large for improver?

Just buy a Groove Skate 130 and ask Santa to bring you the T38 🤙

Out of interest are you now using your 90 mast or even the 101?

Re: Ultra short lines or wing...?

kitenight11, I would certainly recommend foil kites for foiling (regardless of considering them for a SUP foil test). Its great not having to remember to take your pump! Joking aside, once you've tried them you may find it difficult to go back to LEI for many reasons. If you intend to try a foil kit...
