Re: Gear Transport Ideas

Definitely agree that its hilarious to see how much gear people, not necessarily you OP, but kiters in general cart to the launch! Thanks for your comments jumptheshark. I would consider myself a minimalist compared to most kiters, but still usually 2 kites, tt, foil, ect. Fits easy into my hatchba...

Re: Gear Transport Ideas

Not to the beach, to load the car from home… Yes thank you, not to the beach. Once I arrive at beach and see conditions I just bring bare basics out of the car. This is more for general gear hauling ideas loading the car. For instance, anyone living in an apartment building and needing to bring all...

Gear Transport Ideas

Hey guys. When I load the car to go kite I have a 100m walk from where my gear is to the car. Right now I have to make several walks back and forth as it’s all separate( kites, bars, harness, vest, wetsuits, boards booties ect ect . This makes a big mess and high chance of forgetting something. Does...

Re: Fatality in Lanzarote, Spain

My concern with a helmet is it catching the water on a high speed crash and twisting/breaking your neck. Especially a helmet with a bill built in.

Re: Naish pivot vs North reach vs Fone bandit as a first kite

Flown pivot 9, 12, 14 a fair amount. They are amazing kites and excellent for beginner to advanced. I have flown bandits in 10 and 14m one session each. Also fantastic kites, but I like the pivots more but it is only cause I’m more used to them I’m sure. Would be happy with a quiver of either. As fo...

Re: Cold weather gear tips, I know its a bit late

It’s fairly temperate where I ride and I just use neoprene and thermal rash vests and leggings, marigolds. However I have used the Canadian trick of keeping a flask of warm water to poor into your wet suit and gloves before you packdown. Not sure it would be wise to use it as a session extender but...

This is awesome. Thanks for making it. I love all my suits. Nothing like boosting in a blizzard, feels like you floating in a cloud.

Re: Core XR7

For xr users, what wind range would a 220lbs guy get out of the 12m on directional and twin tip? I’ve been on other 12m kites but curious just how huge the range is on these kites.

Re: What is with prices?

Prices are high but somewhat understandable. I think the unfortunate part of our sport is the rapid decline in value of gear. A new motocross dirt bike will run you $12000cad these days($9000 in 2004). But in 10 years you could still get $4500-6000 for it. So only 50% loss over 10 years. Kites loose...
