Re: speed tips on high aspect foil

Indeed, I’m certain that it’s mostly technique. I have also managed about 20 knots on my surf foil. I don’t often kite with other folks let alone non freeride/surf, so I’m left to seek advice online, watch videos, and I’m hoping to travel to some regattas later this season. Would like to put on a no...

flying sardine race bar

Proper way to attach ozone flying lines to these leader lines? Should i attach my front lines directly to the pulley or should there be a metal ring in-between the two?

Re: speed tips on high aspect foil

Thanks guys, this is exactly the kind of food for thought i'm looking for. Will adjust stab slightly and work on locking out rear knee. Might try to add a read strap as well. I'm currently flying 12m Soul and 15m Pulsion UL with this foil. I recognize that these aren't race kites and am hoping to sl...

Re: speed tips on high aspect foil

Looking to get into racing/go as fast as possible. My top speeds now are around 21-22 knots with a 15m kite in ~13-18 knots wind. I'm running the foil in a tuttle box. Been watching Gunnar's POV video since I posted and it seems like he isn't that front foot heavy at all, granted it's hard to tell f...

speed tips on high aspect foil

Anybody have any tips on holding down speed on a "race" foil? I'm on a used Spotz2 and currently have the stab angled so it is maximally raised (pointed leading edge down). No rear strap so I can play around with stance. I'm trying to keep the kite low and powered up so that my angles shift downwind...

Re: Spotz2 foil for beginner?

I've got about 4 hours on my used Spotz2 now. Was initially advised to raise the stab all the way up. I have a relatively firm foiling background on SS and Moses wings (H5, H4, 790) and am trying to branch into racing. I've gotten pretty comfy on the spotz on long tacks while heeled over and am curi...

Re: Peak 4 vs Pulsion

I have flown the Pulsion 15m 4 times now in wind varying from 6 knots to maybe 16 knot gusts. I'm not nearly as experienced as many of the others, but it's an excellent kite. I'm probably just loving the UL material thought to be honest. Been having a blast with it on my race foil, today's session i...
