Re: Touring bindings

I am also using Dynafit TLT. No issues, of course more difficult to step in than with a pure downhill binding, but I prefer my broad and light touring skis for snowkiting. - Tom

Re: Trapped air in double skin foils?

There is however one big advantage of entraped air : the internal pressure provide an additional stiffness that allows more efficient foil profile, like less "twisting" of wingsfor exemple. On the contrary on a SS (so, without internal pressure ) you need to impose more Angle of Attack on wings (to...

Also is there something unique about the Pulsion bar vs a stock 4 line Ozone bar?
I use a custom made bar, you can use any (preferable big!) stock 4 line bar with equal line lengths, and I am sure also the the Ozone Bar although I don't know it. - Tom

Re: Pulsion 18m

Tom, since you have both kites, does the Pulsion have much lift compared to the Peak which to me has very little lift? Have you spent much time trying different line lengths? Any advice to someone coming off of the Peak going to the Pulsion? Pulsion has of course much better lift and hang time. Bec...

Re: Pulsion 18m

Does anyone have any feedback on the low wind capabilities of the Pulsion 18 m for a 100K person? I owned and just sold a 13M Peak ... The 18m Pusion will let you waterstart appr. 2 knots earlier. I need to loop in the direction I want to go. I am often not very lucky with loops in the opposite dir...

Re: Mach flott den Schrott: Good ideas for self made bars

I have created and tested Evans solution for a custom line organizer without a metal part, described in the Infexion thread https://kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2406129&start=180 Awesome- one of the best tips I have from this forum. Thanks Evan, you are a genius. See picture, but still experime...

Re: Naish Torque Bar - flag line knot slipped through stopper

But noo, the designers are too lazy to implement a 8mm hole through the chickenloop. So they are stuck with a bunch of bad fixes to try to get tiny knot to stay blocked under the stopper. If they make the knot any bigger it doesn't pass through the chickenloop anymore, but instead of redesigning th...

I'm 188 cm x 79.5 kg, so pretty close, tall and lanky. According to the OR drysuit size chart, I should be in a size XL drysuit, but I actually own & wear a size Large.
I am even 1.93 m tall and 82 kg, but still have "Large". Happy with the size. - Tom

Re: Flysurfer Soul

... I know FS recomends 50cm for the 12m, however, I already own a clickbar (49cm) which I use with all my LEI kites and now that I've decided to try a RAM kite, maybe I could save some money and keep using the same bar... ... I find a 50cm bar too small for the Soul 12m, I use 60cm, and still it i...

Re: Flysurfer Peak4 sinking or floating and packdown.

Thanks Frank. I am happy with a Paraglider wrapping method: I begin by lifting the LE at the center out of the water from behind of the kite, water just flows out, this is easy. Then I take in the both sides simultaneously folding it like an accordion, not rolling. Only after having pulled together ...
