Re: Introducing the World's Lightest and Strongest Kites - Aluula

US citizens should be up in arms but they are not. My opinion is that they all have boxes that they are willing to hold out in front of their faces in public, and perhaps these boxes tell them what to do. I'm still waiting for someone to tell me that 1000 Euro a month is not minimum wage, because if...

Re: LEI vs Foil Kite Vertical Boosting

2 line kites in 2006 wow! And yes, in 2006, most people found it quite incomprehensible that it was even possible to make it upwind on a 2 line foil kite, even if it does require the right kite to fit the conditions. Someone recently, who is a hell of of a lot better kiter than I ever was, suggeste...

Re: LEI vs Foil Kite Vertical Boosting

Sorry if I wasn't clear, I started kiting around 1999 and learned on four line foils for kite skiing and Wind Tools Mosquito Pro KS for kiteboarding on water. Back then, you had to buy condoms by the box regularly just to keep the Wind Tools kites functioning properly. Nevertheless, despite the very...

Re: Bruno is developing an autozenith tube ki

Auto-zeinth has one real problem.... If you take the kite out in way too much wind.... The problems with Arcs were well-documented. I agree that if you get it working correctly it could be really good for kiteboarding, and not only that, really good for using kites in a wide variety of applications....

Re: Introducing the World's Lightest and Strongest Kites - Aluula

If you live in the US, quit your bitchin', unemployment is at an all-time low, the economy is booming, and there is no inflation. Not only that, we are being led by a stable genius. Not just that, mind you, but a "very stable genius." It's only a matter of time 'till the tax-cuts "trickle down." Mea...

Re: LEI vs Foil Kite Vertical Boosting

Seriously, I learned on 2-line foil kites and up until around 2006 or so I was always sure that foil kites were superior. Around 2006-2008 inflatable kites really got so much better than they used to be. I don't think I ever got as high on LEI as I have with a foil, but I'm sort of an old man now, w...

Re: LEI vs Foil Kite Vertical Boosting

I may have missed some of the most recent snow-kiting videos, but I believe LEI remains the indisputable champ:

Re: Small crack on Groove board. How to repair

Because the crack is in the rail, the pvc foam sandwich is unlikely to be wrapped around it which is why on the rail you'll only find laminate (double wrapped from top and bottom layer) that's the reason why you will find water in the core and need to remove it. If the crack was in the deck or hull...

Is it lighter than a single skin foil kite? When will the aluula Peak 5s come out?

Re: Small crack on Groove board. How to repair

The 3mm pvc foam is waterproof and has a layer of glass or carbon behind it so unless you bashed it really hard the core should still be dry. I would just sand out the cracked parts being careful not to sand into the pvc, then check the pvc for cracks or anything else that might indicate that you ne...
