I would try a local machine shop - they will easily be able to make whatever you want out of 304 or 316 stainless. Should be quite simple for them and not very expensive.

Do these really thick wetsuits feel bulky and restrict movement? I have never been in anything more than a 3/2 but my GF gets very cold quickly as well and I would like to get her something as warm as possible but am worried about mobility. As long as it's less than 23kg it will sometimes be considered a regular checked bag. You really need to check with the airline and then still it is sometimes not consistent. Good luck - buying split boards as we speak!
