Re: Issue BWS Stallion V2

Missed that, thanks for pointing that out. Does the Canadian consumer law mandate to take up product complaints with the manufacturer? It's not a federal law, but a state matter. Both seller and manufacturer should be notice. Actualy it's not an obligation by law, but a strong recommandation. BWS d...

Ozone Reo V6

Probably a stupid question, but does anyone knows if Ozone will release a V6 of the Reo in 2020?

Re: Issue BWS Stallion V2

After my last post on KF, i informed the shop/dealer that i would send them a formal notice about this matter. Following this last communication, BWS (via the shop/dealer) told me that they still didn’t think that it was a defect, but they offer me to exchange the board for a new one anyway. In the ...

Re: Your opinion on utility of screws in fin box?

I knew about the wider tolerance... I can tell you that they accept wider tolerance for real... Even too much...;) But that’s weird that 2 out of 3 have this huge gap and the other one fit thight and snug... I would have prefer a gap with standard Future box. I would have just wrap a few layers of e...

Re: Your opinion on utility of screws in fin box???

Do you have a different set of fins to try? The issue may be not in the box but in the fins themselves. Did you check if all the fin boxes are the same length? Are all your fins the same length? Do all the fins have this gap? I also tried 2019 Duotone brand new fins and the gap is the same. Tried a...

Your opinion on utility of screws in fin box?

I owned a few surfboards in the past. On all those boards, the fins always fit snug and thight in their fin box. I always thought that the screws were there just to secure the fins "verticaly" into the box. I've got a new surfboard with stock fins and box and there's a play of more than 1/16'' in le...

Re: Issue BWS Stallion V2

Just a follow up on the issue with my Stallion V2. BWS ask me for a video of the flex on the rail cause by the pressure of my thumb. I did the video. I don’t know of to link a video to my post, but i would really like to do it and have your opinion on the subject. There’s a picture tough of the ding...

Re: Issue BWS Stallion V2

Thanks juandesooka for your advise. I met a local shaper and surf repair guy today that do that full time for living and he immediately told me that the almost full length of the rail his soft even to pressure with thumb. He made a ding just with thumb pressure. He mentioned that it looks like there...

Re: Issue BWS Stallion V2

Special thanks to "iriejohn". In my deception i never thought about applying heavy pressure with my thumb on the rest of the board. I did it this morning after reading your post and there's was another small weak and "empty" spot on the same rail, but more in front of the board. The glass (epoxy lay...
