Re: SK99 line stretch

It's important to note that there's also a considerable amount of "stretch" the comes from the line compressing on the bury. When the line is first spliced, the fibers are pulled apart quite a bit just to get the fid inside. The splices settle a bit on the first ride. They should settle the same amo...

Re: Question for Axis Tray board owner

Mine got dirty very fast and was also too soft. It was starting to tear all around the edges.

Re: Lift 200 surf enough for winging

Yes it's definitely enough! I've used it, and even used my lift 170 and it provides plenty of lift, but those early days of winging will be a little more painful. I think the entire industry overshot on the foil sizes at the beginning. Everyone at my beach is moving to smaller and smaller foils. I t...

Re: Adjusting pigtail length - do I move the stopper knot or just the larkshead?

No, the larks head will not stay due to tension. The stopper knot looks like it’ll easy come undone with a set of pliers. Take the time to do it right.

Re: Kite foiling is dying sooo fast

I bet you could make nearly any branch of the sport look lame as f***! Keep your identity politics out of kiting. I bet you ride in very straight lines. Dude, why do you have such an axe to grind against this? Did some winger come and offend your mother? Just let these two sports live harmoniously....

Re: Kite foiling is dying sooo fast

I've been winging for a few months now and I've got some initial thoughts on the comments above. 1-It's not cheaper at the moment. It's the same price. Part of this issue is because used gear hasn't flooded the market yet. Once we get a few generations of gear coming through, it'll be easier to piec...

Re: 3D Printing Advices

I've had many printers, some purchased and some home made. Save yourself the hassle and get a Prusa MK3. It's more expensive than the CR-10, and has a smaller print volume, but it prints far better with zero upgrades. It has a very smart 9 point leveling process, crash detection, filament sensor and...

Re: F-one Linx bar / front lines length

You can't check this with the lines on the kite! Attach all your lines to your leash, and secure the leash to a fixed point. Make sure the trim is in the 'max power' position. Try to check the lines again with this setup. I put a video in that shows the steps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9EYMZY...

Re: Naish Torque Bar - flag line knot slipped through stopper

Use the ozone stopper ball from kiteboarding.com. The hole is TINY and will probably require you to open it up a tad. I’m using these on the bars I’m making and there’s no way you’ll have the knot pass through again.

Lift 250?

Has anybody tried winging with a Lift 250? Is it big enough? I assume the 250 is 250in^2 which converts to ~1600cm^2. I think that would put it on the smaller end of foils for winging. I'm already dug into the Lift ecosystem, would be great to use my existing gear.
