Re: The Flite A-Series: The New Boss of Big Air

So has anyone besides droffats tried the 5 strut flites? Yep- bought a 12m 5 strut from Droffats and it is my new favorite kite. Gonna be posting a couple of XR7s for sale soon (13.5m & 11m) I had been an XR guy until I started trying OR A series kites, have a couple of 3 struts (17m and 14.5m), th...

Re: Kite Seat Harnesses

Personally enjoy the Ride Engine contour- nice balance of back support, ease of adjustment and mobility. Paired with a nice wide spreader the wings stop it twisting upwards. I’ve had a few and this is my favorite so far. (Found the Dakine Fusion too restrictive and difficult to adjust on the fly, Io...

I already own 3- 17, 14.5, 12 I also understand the math, and will happily buy a 21 or 23m Additionally- if you read this thread, Please don’t tell us we need foil kites or foi...

Re: 20m LEI Kites - Its Time

I have used +19m kites since 2002 still do, but have learnt to kitefoil, so if it's not more than 16 knots foiling is way more fun than using a huge kite and a TT. Foiling with a 13m kite or less is way more playful and get you going sooner than moving a huge kite on a TT. If you haven't, try it be...

Re: 20m LEI Kites - Its Time

You don't need ultralight construction in a foil kite if you plan to ride a twin-tip... Total waste of money, and the kite is less durable. Ultralight construction is for hydrofoiling in less than 7-8 knots. Seriously, you should spring the $925 for the 21 meter kestrel and get maybe the 12 as your...

Re: Imperator 7 vs fusion 6 vs jaime

I have previous generation experience of Imperator 6 and Fusion 5 & own both in different sizes (shared with my son) They have quite different characteristics- the Imperators are fast and light, with super crisp edging. Outstanding on flatter water. A little Harsher on the knees in chop. The Fusions...

Hey Stafford, if you view it In YouTube you can turn on subtitles and then turn on auto-translate to English. It’s not perfect, but you get the gist. Regards Steve

Re: Recommendation for ab exercises to prevent sore muscles

Lots of opinions already, but I can share what works for me. I used to suffer more, especially on trips, for the first 3-4 days until my abs got used to it. I incorporated a varied ab workout (upper, lower, obliques, etc) into my regular strength routine, plus knee lifts while hanging from a bar- ha...
