Re: 12m contrast: switchblade and XR7

Also had a fleet of Switchblades 6/8/11 and a couple of contras. Rode XRs in different sizes over several days and the rest is history. Agree with everything above, plus I will add that the smoother curve of the XR makes it easier to roll onto its tip during a marginal wind relaunch, whereas the squ...

Re: help me with wetsuit sizing

I find you have to shop around to find a brand that fits your build.. +1 I ordered a bunch of different brands from wetsuit wear house in same size/ thickness but quickly found the one that fit me best and returned the rest. Surprising degree of fit/ comfort difference- based on what’s important to...

Re: Kiteboarding apps for Garmin watches

Hmm… weirdest thing just happened Went out for a walk, with Glance installed as primary face. Used walk app. Then when I got home I read your response and went in to leave the reviews & found Glance, Kite And Woo apps had all disappeared off my watch. Re: Kiteboarding apps for Garmin watches

Just wanted to take a moment to thank you Aleks, for your work and advice.
I recently joined the club and bought a deeply discounted Fenix 6 Pro Sapphire and a WOO.
Seamless connection and love being able to view jump height immediately.
Also love the Glance Face too!

Re: Cold Weather and Aging

What he said +1 If you prefer anecdotal proof - consider this... most opinions about drysuits fall into two camps. the first is those that have them and love them and use them all the time, these people tend to speak positively about drysuits. the other are people that don't have them and are alway...

Re: ION B2 2018 shorts sizing help!

I’m 5’8” 150 lbs, 32” waist and have medium B2. Works great for me here in the Midwest, because I always have a wetsuit of 2-5mm depending on season. Plus I have a Ride Engine Impact vest, which adds a little too. When I head further south and just ride in shorts & impact vest I do end up cinching t...

Re: Kite Quiver Advice

I started with my lighter son and I am the same weight as you. We had 15 / 13 / 11 / 9/ 7 all bought used- we could ride any wind up we dared go out in. I would start at the larger end of the spectrum first (depending on local winds). Lighter winds with a big slow kite are easy to learn- things go b...
