Re: How will COVID impact kite brands and shops?

I think it will affect everyone who kites. Because of many statewide lockdowns and more pending people are loosing money. My friend who kites said his job where he works will close down ...forced. He only has 3 months of income. People will sell gear to buy the necessity they need to live. I know so...

Re: Moto, Evo or Pivot ?

I've had pivots, loved them, but many repair guys said to dump them because of the octopus system. So I did and bought a couple of bandits. Loved them also but their flag system sucked it strong wind, so I sold them. Now they changed inflation and bar all is good. Tried my friends Evo for a day back...

Foil kite bar depower length

Hello, I bought a ozone bar for my foil kites, it a few years old and has a very short depower.
Would it be wise to increase the line length on the depower?
I have race kites in 9m and 15m.i know I would have to lengthen the steering lines .

Anyone own or flown the Slingshot phantom kite

Was looking at the phantom kite, it is priced very low now.
I think ss gave up on that foil kite idea.
Supposed to have some elf design in it.
I have a couple of v6 elf's and I love how they handle.

Foiling line lengths with a foil kite

I have a few foil kites 9,11,15 and am learning with them now on a fairly long line 25m. I've used another bar which had 22 m lines it seemed faster turning. I know long lines on a lei kite will give you a few knots lower kiting, but is that true on a foil kite which loves to sit overhead? Using a t...

Re: My foil kite seems to fly too far overhead lately

Is it collapsing or are you just amazed that it seems like it’s behind you? What kind of kite? It's not collapsing, just seems like it wants to overshoot me. Not a good feeling when I am standing close to shore with a lots of kites laying all around. It's a 11m race kite. Didn't seems to do this wi...

My foil kite seems to fly too far overhead lately

Could it be the bar? I am using a ozone bar with 25m lines. Are the center lines too short to cause this problem? Or does the mixer need adjusting? The ozone bar is an older bar 2017 and the depower is very small. Is there a way to change out the depower line and increase the depower range like the ...

Foil kite comparison - which to buy?

Hi I am looking at my first real foil kite. I had foil trainers in 3 and 4 meters. Found a deal on a 15m lf elite like new. With the research it looks like a good kite for a first foil kite. The other is a ozone chronos 2 smaller size than the elite. Price is more and it is used a lot more. Is it wo...

Re: Why do schools keep using the seat harness in lessons but most people use waist?

True school s use e seat harness because that is the easiest to learn in, people are swayed by all the videos of the pros using the waist harness, I got lulled into that also, but I found the waist harness hard to kite in, case in point, I took a couple long time kiters and let them try the seat har...

Re: Pivot or Bandit?

I've flown both late models, 2016 and 2017 in 10-12 m sizes. The Pivot was a great kite, but I spent more time on the bandit, it was more forgiving for my wife and I during our learning process. What I didn't like on the bandit was the small fill valve...I had to pump 2 kites each time we went out.....
