I had to pull the QR even though I was in 4 line mode. Instant spaghetti, took me a while to untangle.
Thank You, I would not mind a few hours of spaghetti... it's the hours of spaghetti from a hospital bed that has me concerned.
Good information.

Re: Minor repairs to carbon wing

I use the 2-part epoxy resin for my repairs. I mix a small amount of inexpensive graphite (found in the keys & locks section of any hardware store) to bring the color to the proper black. The 2-part epoxy needs to cure overnight but is much stronger than Sol-Rez. I tried quick cure products but they...

Re: Ruben Lenten - My most painful kiteboarding accident (broke my leg)

Love ozone products, but this product is flawed. Get better Ruben, heal up and charge it again. Damn, I hope it's not flawed since just last week I paid near $700US for the Ozone Foil Race bar with identical QR. Weird how I'll do 2 intense weeks of researching here on KF and everywhere possible.......

Re: Self launch and self land option

You can use a teathered bar /or bag of sand with a climbing quick draw- its a little more fiddly but you essentially back stall the kite to the ground and hook the chicken loop and the steering line s into your quick draw - this keeps the kite in stalled state - sitting on its trailing edge. I am e...

Re: Flag-out Question

The soul specifically should not have any issues, maybe not 100% of the time but lets say 98% In the worst case you may have inverted lines but that is if you are very unlucky. It is a good idea to learn to relaunch the kite from the water (when to pull side lines, when to pull middle lines etc.) t...

Flag-out Question

Coming from a 12 year history with Clouds and Naishes (first time foil kiter) where I could fire the QR flag-out and most times be able to re-attach and go... how well is a foil kite at this? Soul? Sorry for the beginner question, but with all these bridles will the kite return to fly-able post-flag...

Re: New to Soul, Which Bar?

I use the ozone contact 55cm with 20m lines on my soul 12m. The ozone bars are excellent. The new click quick release is also the safest on the market currently way safer than the pin type iron heart ones. If you have ever had an accident and hurt yourself when the wind is up 9m kite levels and tri...

Re: 6m Soul as step down from 10m?

Me: 150 pounds, %95 foil riding, non-race OK, I just recently purchased the 12m Soul exclusively for foiling in very light winds on a large frying pan wing (Moses 633). The remainder of my quiver is all Cloud strut-less so you pretty much cannot find two animals which perform so differently. I think...
